  • Thank you so much for your kind respond. Very happy to know the meaning of the Yar-kyi! Actually my heritage and/or root goes back to Tibet, but I am Sherpa regionally from Chomolangmo area of Nepal, but been away for so long now that I live in the US. thank you again.

  • @pgsherpa1 I come from Amdo region of north-eastern Tibet but now I'm living in Switzerland. I like the Sherpa people, your culture is much the same as the Tibetans.

  • @AmdoGolok : Culturally when I have to trace back, my great great grandparents came from Kham part of Tibet and that is why I am so very much interested to understand more about the Tibetan Culture and appreciate the Tibetan music. I only wish that I can understand fluent Tibetan so that I can understand about the meaning of music. Most of the Sherpa people who sing Sherpa song are pretty much same as Tibetan song. Thuchiche!!!

  • I am non Tibetan with Tibetan influnce. I like all the Yarki festival song. I would like to know what Yarkyi mean in Tibetian.
