You say that yet before the UFC there was NO MMA in the US, and it still took YEARS to get it accepted by the athletic commission, it took the Fertitta brothers to step in with they're money and connections, and its STILL not legal in new york, and is only NOW getting shown on national television (FOX).

Just because its big IN japan, doesn't mean they had/have skill. The UFC is the biggest stage to perform on, it pays the highest, is the most well known, and gets the most attention, its where all aspiring MMA fighters want to fight at. And how many Japanese champions have there been?

They had to go to japan back in 96' to even have any Japanese fighters win a tournament.

Face it, on the biggest performing stage, its all dominated by Brazilians, the best fighters around.

@CaesarThaApeGod that wasnt wrestilng mixed with jiujitsu. that was just wrestling. he used an arm triangle at the end. but the arm triangle is pretty much a wrestling pinning technique. all u do is cut the arm across the throat. they just call it arm triangle and use it to choke in bjj. besides catch wrestling had submissions before bjj existed. but i kinda see wut u mean. without the submissons and stuff.
