  • I love how everyone's individuality really shows through on their altars =)

  • @Metal4Ever1975 Thanks for showing your true ignorance! You did an outstanding job here!

  • 1:10 looks like mine

  • @disturbedprincess666 Awesome!

  • thank you so much for showing us these wonderful altars! they are so beautiful and you can just tell that the people who made these altars put a lot of work into them! blessed be )O(

  • @wateruser77 You are most welcome! BB!

  • Shame on any Christian that can't respect other peoples decisions, especially their own children!

  • @wanda4decentvalues. You oughta be ashamed of yourself. Don't you think maybe you have given your son a hard time? Maybe if you spoke to him, you might find out first. Of all, Wicca is so not evil or satanic, the devil is your christian invention that you made up. We don't believe it. It's great that your son has a mind of his own, instead of following the path you are forcing him too. Well, I'm 14, obviously not a mother, but I can already see where you are going wrong with your parenting.

  • when I was disturbed I did that - a tsble of mirrors - now that I'm remissive - they tell me it will be alright but for 30 years it has not been all right - in fact it got me classified - I might be wiccan or just christ confused - excuse me if I seem of beat but - we go from electrochemical bodies to electromagnetic minds - I was either on HIS bad side or they kept my spirit from growing ,,,, thank you everyone for showing me your sacred tables

  • I feel I'm pretty much healed from my past although it will possibly always be a part of me to attract what had raised me. If only 1 sociopath in the room I can spot them

I have become stronger and I believe that our enemies are our greatest teachers as after they have inflicted pain if u can transform the pain and great power will come from that. So really when someone kicks u down they can give u power if u can transform it

I'm so excited about my alter.

  • @janityy Thanks so much for sharing! I know the excitement you must have in reference to your altar! Blessings!

  • I've been made fun of as I'm Goth but that is ironic as the United States is run on Egyptian magick (Freemasonry infiltrated) and pyramid schemes(all seeing eye on pyramid on one dollar bill) so actually I've been quite politically correct being goth lol

  • @cypresso56

Oh yes thank u ill check it out

I spent years going thru an alchemy transformation of sorts . I was abused by sociopaths but yet the abuse helped me get an inside look at the mind of a person with no conscience or mostly lack of one

I found .tarot cards and was told I'd burn in hell I was like huh. And I knew something was wrong. I've always been goth.and so not very accepted.the cards to me are from the Egyptian tombs I remember them

  • And studying Thelema

    Book 4

777 and other Magick books has helped to

    Thanks for cool video

    Peace Thelema 93

  • @janityy Thank for both comments! Glad to see you are advancing in your studies. Also, it is very wonderful to hear that the video was helpful to you. I have an article on dalehyde(dot)wordpress(dot)com, my blog, about "verbal" abuse that may well help you. Have to put the link as above or it will not post.

  • Thank u for making this video is really helping me

I'm working on my alter now such a long path out of pain for me out of abuse and lies.

When I found Tarot cards I was just floored and cried I recognized them as a pathway and thru studying saw them as a path one path of many from being a Fool to becoming a Sage.

Understanding Tarot cards 4 suits ,Swords, pentacles, cups and wands as representing intellect, emotions, will and money I was able to work on my alter.

  • @CandyCaneCorpse So glad that you enjoyed it!

  • WOW! Such pretty altars! I love them. You gave me some great ideas!

    blessed be~

  • @makichan121 So glad the video was helpful! Blessings.

  • Wicca is very bad because it has star pointing up, it should be pointing down for energy to go to the earth and replenish her.

    joyofsatan(dot)org

  • @viking403 You are very wrong, Viking, however, I see that you worship a supposed deity that we, as Wiccans do not even acknowledge exists, satan.

  • Great video!!! What a beatiful example of different style Wiccan altars and they are so eclectic!!!

  • @cazangelcat So glad to hear that you enjoyed the examples. :) Blessings.

  • my altar im still kinda figuring out and changing it up i have alot of shells i collected from a river around where i learned to swim i went hiking for the first time around this area too my altar has rocks from there and other things as well

  • @kenatheinsane That is wonderful to hear! We have some shells as well as stones on our altar as well. It is always great to have things on the altar that seem to call out to you when you are out and about! Blessings.

  • Great Video! I love the altar boards they have.. its such a clever idea. It makes me want to make my altar hella awesome with the book stand and everything all organized around just like they did in the pictures.. they are very awesome! I personally love looking at other people's altars to compare and also to get some ideas cause I'm not really all that experienced with this. I study a lot but I haven't gotten down to actually doing anything yet. Awesome vid!

  • @Takiado Glad that you enjoyed the video! Blessings to you and yours and the pursuit of the path. :)

  • @KittySugarLips Thanks for commenting, Kitty. Some times, to start with, many lovely stones and such can be found just when our wandering around. Try looking and picking up the "first" one that "calls" out to you. Place it on your altar, hold it, work with it... carry it in your pocket. :) You will be amazed. I have such a vast assortment on our personal altar... some is very ordinary in looks, but in power, awesome. :)

  • very very beautiful :))) thanks for sharing these :)).. the one i liked alot was at 0:51 very dreamy feeling i got from watching it lol - blessed be

  • @kahetel13 So glad that you enjoyed it. Kahetel. :) Blessed Be. :)

  • exelent

  • @omniyoya Thanks so much.

  • Wow! Such beautiful offerings. Thank you for sharing and inspiring. Peace and blessings.

  • @jpaulick Glad that you enjoyed them. Peace and blessings to you as well.

  • all of these altars are beautiful.

i love the one on the window sill, its so cute

im still working on my altar lol :)

  • @Hanatbh So glad that you enjoyed the video. :)

  • Hi all. If anyone needs any help with questions feel free to email me at wiccaquestions@yahoo.com

  • Beautiful examples.

    Blessings,

    Aleina

  • @AleinaTheBitten Thanks so much. :)

  • hi im trying to set up an alter in my room but i have to make it suttle because of my parents.

i have candles, a colour for each of the elements, a atheme, an incence burner and a wand but not sure what else i need, please help?

  • I love how every altar is different and reflects the personality of the one who practices! Its very beautiful.

  • @ArionCrystal Thanks so much, Arion.. I feel the same way. :)

  • @ArionCrystal mmmmmm same :) I like the way it's such a deeply personal thing, rather than conforming to generic rules.

  • I love stones and flowers, that would be a perfect altar for me.

  • @marcia267 Altars are so wonderful because they can be changed for any and all occasions to reflect the intended magick and such. We change ours on a regular basis.

  • Wonderful video -- what magical creative souls are in our community! Each one is so unique - and reflects its own power!

Thanks for the video and all of the ideas!

    Jan at Rosemary Cottage

  • So glad that you enjoyed the video! It is awesome that you can perceive the power of each individual altar, that was the intent and after it being viewed over 14,000 times in two years, this is the first comment I have had about that. :) Blessings.

  • Oh, I agree completely. :) You can totally feel the aura of power each gives off, even just looking at the pics. Blessings!

  • sorry but where do you use the knive and the grail for??

  • The athame's (knife) primary use is to direct energy; if things such as herbs or cords need to be cut, another knife called a boline - a white-handled knife - is used. An exception is the "kitchen witchcraft" philosophy, which actively encourages the use of magical tools for mundane purposes to increase the witch's familiarity with them.

  • Not sure about what you mean (grail)

  • They mean the chalice.

It's used for blessings or offerings, or if you drink in praise to the Goddess )O(

  • @TheChiaraday Do you need a chalice? That's one thing I don't really quite get... what all do you need for your altar and where can you get it?

  • @TheWiccanSpellGIrl No, I work just as well without one, but if it bothers you, decorate a wine glass or just use a plain one. I use mum's clear crystal bowl.

I just pick stuff up as I go along. I decided to create 'Spirit' by getting a box which I filled with things personal to me. But part of the joy for me is BEING CREATIVE with my rituals.

Remember, the importance of objects is what you make it, not what it is. That is the key to everything.

Btw, praying really does work. Really.

  • @TheWiccanSpellGIrl If you need any help with anything, send me a direct message and I'll get on it asap. Blessed Be )O(

  • This is very nice. I am just beginning to create my wife's and my "altar." That word, tho....kinda bugs me. It is as if that is a central focus point and my focus is too broad. Regardless, I am going to make a very nice display for no other purpose than to proudly show my beliefs. And again, I digress from the mainstream......"Be Blessed!" :-)O(-:

  • Thanks for the comment. The altar is used to help persons focus, in circle and ritual, however, it can all be done without tools or an altar. :) Blessings.

  • I love seeing other peoples altars, they are so beautiful and spiritual =]

    x

  • Glad that you enjoyed them! I am the same way... love to view others and feel the energies that are there. :)

  • i get alot of my wiccan items from england u.k. i find it hard to find exactly what i need in new mexico, clothing is hard to find here also,i colect rocks or cones of trees like i did in the bavarian alps for my alter, all things nature,i have been pagan or wiccan for so long now,my heart is peaceful and filled with deep feeling for nature i see so much that i couldn't see before, thankyou all for the wonderful songs and pictures of the goddess ,and the love you share with us *blessed be* )O(****

  • Thank you so much for sharing, and Goddess blessings to you! Wonderful to hear the words you shared and the uplifting energy that it has given me. It is an honor to be able to share what I can and I do so because of the blessings of the Goddess. Blessed Be.

  • These are some beautiful altars. What is the significance of placing fake skulls on an altar?

  • While it may seem stereotypical skulls are an iconic symbol of Samhain. Yet like it or not they are that for good reason. Since Samhain is the Festival of the Dead, you may want to decorate your house in things representing that, much like the Mexican Festival of the Dead.

  • Sorry for my ignorance but why do you wiccas need a knife?

  • I have left a comment on your other one about a few uses for the knife, or athame, as we call them. There are numerous other uses, but never as a weapon.

  • We use a that knife, known as an athame, for rites its use to cast a circle

  • Thanks.

  • Your welcome. Blessed be

  • @Loa4EVER it's for purification purposes. no we don't use it on people or animals, rather we purify the elements. (i mainly use it to purify water and salt) other wiccans may use it for different purposes since every witch and or coven has it;s/their own traditions and rituals. :)

  • Pardon me my ignorance but... why do you wiccas need a knife? Jeust curiosity.

  • Uses: There are many uses for your athame: Casting the circle. Most WItches use their athame to point out (or mark) the borders when casting their circle. Some Witches use an athame for most circles, reserving wands for casting circles of special significance . Drawing lines. There are many rituals that call for drawing a line. Sometimes the athame marks an imaginary line in the air. Other times the athame actually draws a visible line in something material, such as dirt or salt.

  • Some of those alters look pretty cool. They remind me of some Voodoo and Santeria alters I've seen. It really is an art form, I believe. Of course they have religious import, and that's their main purpose. They are an interesting form of religious expression.

  • Thanks for viewing and commenting. I appreciate the additional input and information. :) Thanks for sharing.

  • the goddess must be smiling upon those altars! i was just recently brought before Her as a servant and i hope one day i might have an altar like these. if anyone would do kindness, light an incense of wealth for me so that i might glorify the Mother Goddess. blessed be :)

  • I wish I had the money to have alters like those ;~;

  • I wish my altar was as pretty as these o.o

  • Well, it happens over years, as things are added from here and there. :) The looks are not important. it is the heartfelt conditions that you project as you use the altar. Rituals, spells and rites and be done without an altar, even. The altar is cool, and helps us focus. Blessings.

  • beautiful altars. im now very curious about wicca. do you know any other good wicca vids i should look up?

  • Thanks for the wonderful words! I have quite a few Wiccan vids on my page here.. check out my Wiccan and favs.... Blessings.

  • wicca is not satanic.

  • Wow. I'm surprised that there seems to be alot more male Wiccans than I thought there'd be...Not knowing many, and seeing how there's that female stereotype of witches I'm impressed...

  • Well, Wicca is a feminine based path. That does not detract from the male members, however. Thanks for commenting.

  • Awesome! I wish my altar was like these ones. Mine isn't permanent since I travel a lot and since my parents don't know I'm pagan yet. I just use an altar cloth and set everything up on the ground when I need it.

  • You do well to set up on the ground! A wonderful atlar in itself... the Mother Earth! It is great to know that you have this connection. Blessings!

  • @eekym i like yer lack of permanance in a way. in a way your alter traveling alter just keeps up with the constant movments of the earth.... it all depends on howu look at it. ~blessed be~

  • Some of these are really awesome.

It floored me how much mainstream religion borrowed from pagans when you look at the similarities of what is placed on the altars.

  • It is true. The more I have studied paganism over the years, I have seen so many various similarities where the mainstream religions have all borrowed from the Pagan paths. Thanks for viewing the video and commenting. :)

  • what beautiful altars! Mine is very simple and I do not think magick has to be very difficult or expensive in order to "work".

  • You are most accurate! You do not even need an altar, as you can actually visualize all you need in your mind to make the spiritual connection. Thanks for viewing and appreciating what I shared with the short video. :)

    Blessings

  • thank you for the video

    )0(

  • You are most welcome!

  • These are all lovely, but my favourites are the ones that look the most "occult", or at least the most natural. It's not that I do this for effect, but some of the Altars with White cloths remind me too much of my born-again christian Aunt's house and church. Lots of white with candles and bible quotes with tacky flower arrangements. (At the church, not on these altars). BBxx

  • I certainly can understand the relation of the whie cloths and such to the Christian altars, no doubt. Thanks for sharing these thoughts with me, and glad the you enjoyed the different altars that I presented. BB

  • yeah it is very important to connect with your altar in a positive way. It is great that you are aware of these things.

  • I find Wicca very appealing. Do you have any ideas for how I might start my practice? I was raised devout Christian, but I think there is no reason that people can't believe in the gods and goddesses as well.

  • I would recommend reading some books and studying to start. Then slowly working your way up. But first I would say to make sure that Wicca is right for you, before starting to practice it.

  • Kate West's books are a good starting point. I also read Teresa Moorey and now Scott Cunningham. If you want to look deeper into the history of Witchcraft (Instead of just Wicca), then Doreen Valiente's books are older and a bit more about folk religion.

  • my altar is a tv with empty beer cans on it.....

  • Nothing wrong with that.. :) Thanks for such a humorous and uplifting comment..

    Blessings.

  • These are cool alters I need to make one x]

  • I would encourage you to do so.. :)

    Blessings to you.

  • i have an altar but its not as good as most ppl's its very basic on a small cirle table... nuff said LQTM! (Laugh quietly to myself)

  • Nothing wrong with that.. It is not the altar or the items on the altar, but the intent behind what you do, and your heartfelt conviction. :) You are doing well to simply have an altar as a means of focus.. I am proud of you..

    Blessed Be,

    Dale

  • Very Nice video, I have an Altar as well =]

  • this a great vid. very loving* namaste

  • Greetings and blessings, my friend! Thanks for the comment!

  • nice altars five stars

  • Thanks so very much!

  • Thank you very much for this. I'm trying to make up my own rituals (including all the elements of the Universe). As far as I understood, my own altar should also include those elements? or I need to add sthg else...

  • I, personally, would include all of the elements, as this will generate better focus as you do ritual. Thanks for the comment. Blessings

  • It is hard to give someone ideas of their altar.. as they would be my ideas.. :) Your basic tools are needed and such, and that can be found online.. or you already know.. I can try to come up with some more examples.. :) Thanks for the wonderful comment... it is uplifting to see you have enjoyed these.

    Blessings,

    Dale

  • You are most welcome. Blessings to you.

  • Such beautiful Altars! Thank you for sharing.

    Brightest Blessings!

  • Thanks for a wonderful comment.. and you are welcome.. Blessings

  • thank you so much, what a great inspiration!

  • You are most welcome... and it is an honor to know you have appreciated this.. :) Thanks

  • beautiful alters

I am new to this path and taking my time to decide what sort of alter to have and what to put on it

they were very different and very beautiful

    )0(

  • Thank you very much.. most altars change with the sabbats and celebrations.. but have basic items on each.. :) Feel free to contact me if you would like more info... Thanks for the comment, once again..

  • this is a lovely video! great representations of the diversity of altar set-up! i really enjoyed it, thanks!

  • Thank you very much! This type of comment really makes my day! You are absolutely correct.. the Wiccan Path is very beatiful!

    Blessings,

    Dale

  • i am simple wondering but how many of us have been in someway contaced by the god or goddess, becuse one of them aperad on my wall as a shodow face last night (scared the heck out of me at first) im just wondering howmany other people have had something like this happen. also thank you for this vid i am beging to make a altar and i needed a idea of what it would look like.

  • Thanks for the comment! Glad that this was useful. I commented further on other things in an email to you..

    Blessings,

    Dale

  • lol snooker table first. beautiful collection here. x <:3)~~

  • Beautiful bless be!

  • I am being taught about wicca by my friend who is wiccan and she is giving me pointers on setting up my alter is there any advice you have? and just to clear things up I am joining Wicca because I have regular visit from spirits and I want to learn how to block them out and to communicate with some so I can rid my fear of the dead

  • ive the same fear and experience...i used my 'sheer-fright energy' to block them...i was 13 at the time...i am reconciling my fear and opening the gates again......i was very scared by my experience!I also had a cat that was an 'evil' Djinn-i LOVE animals but the negativity from my adopted cat led me to call him evil to his face the day i got him (he didnt DO anything-it was a sickening energy)i chased him out next day..i did not want to give him to anyone.i felt responsible in that sense

  • very beautifull altars.great video.

  • i rly should get around to finishing my altar *sigh* so much to do

  • Well, an altar is not something that is every finished, my friend! :) It is something we add to all the time.. My altar changes, as I change... sometimes not much on it, other times, as the needs and callings come, much is on there.. :) Don't be discouraged.. it is hte heart that is felt by the Dieties.. :)

  • yup as with every religon..i dont beleive muslims should feel they HAVE to stop and pray 5 times daily to 'prove' their dvotion 9unless they like to of course)...its like an insult to gods intelligence...i think the omnipotent dudes around us are smart enough to know whats inside us! :) BB

  • I am not quite sure why the Muslims do what they do.. I do know I don't do that, that many times, but I guess, ya know, if it works for them, and keeps them connected, on a personal level, that is cool. I am sure the Gods/Goddesses would not demand that type of attention, but it could be a basis for a personal connection that is needed by followers of that path.. a guess... :) Thanks for the comment.. :)

  • Muslims pray 5x towards Mecca for the same reason devout Catholics & Catholic clergy pray the liturgy of the hours. Sacred tradition teaches us to "pray unceasingly" and to make our daily actions an act of prayer. I'm a Christian Wiccan and for me, I pray 6x a day (the # of times in the liturgy of the hours) to one, keep me focused on the divine and to remind me that every act should be an act of prayer and thanksgiving.

  • Thanks for sharing this info,.. greatly appreciated. Blessings to you.

  • Nice altars. Although, I didn't see a gardnerian set up. wink wink.

  • Thanks... :) If you check out my reply, feel free to send me a photo of a Gardnerian Altar, and I can add it and repost.. :)

    Blessings

  • With all respects, I was being funny. Gardnerian anything is oathbound, as in hidden from non initiates. Sorry.

  • No problem, lol.. I did want to make the offer. :) I am eclectic myself, Wiccan, Shamanic and Celtic... but honor all Paths...

    Blessed Be,

    Dale

  • WOW.

    0:32 Took my breath away.

  • All very beautiful. Thanks for sharing! )0(

  • Thanks so very much for your comment... :)

    Blessings,

    Dale

  • thank you

I am new to this and am just finding my feet

I don't have an alter yet although I am slowly obtaining things to put on it

  • Well, if you have any questions, know I am here to ask.. :) I am always available evenings and on weekends.. We all start as being new to this Path.. :)

    Blessings,

    Dale

  • thank you very much

maybe we could exchange e mails to make it easier to communicate?

  • Sorry for the delay, but I missed this... I would prefer to not display my email here, as I don't just give it out to anyone.. Not meaning you, but everyone would then have it... We can meet in another place, like Tagged or MySpace and share the email private.. ?????

  • You are most welcome.. and thanks for commenting.. :)

  • Thanks so very much... Weekend blessings to you. :)
