BTW, in a version I made for the 1.3pb4a patch I made this look about ten times better, but then the TA5.1 patch came out and now I can't fix the layering issues. But once I do finally figure it out, expect a video! :)

However, filefront decided to delete the PB4a version of the mod, but we are already working on the port to TA5, so we (the modding team) decided to go work on that instead of searching for the old version of it to rehost.
Haha that's awesome! I love Battlezone, I wish my friends would LAN it, but they're allergic to pre- 2005 games... and not to mention multiplayer always gives problems. But hey, maybe we'll be surprised by a BZ3 some day.

Don't see why you'd add a nuke at all though...they just end up bieng a way for people who don't know how to use tactics with thier units to say "screw this I'm winning now" The only nukes I've ever seen and liked were the ones in Supreme Commander, they were strong and crippling yes, however they take ungodly amounts of time and resources to build along with not bieng strong enough to make it unrecoverable.
This is not a commonplace weapon like in SupCom, but rather, as you'd see if you read the file comments, for the new gamemode I am constructing called "Capture the Nuke", so as you can deduce, it is a GAME ENDING event, so I can make it as powerful as I damn well please! ^_^
You only said it would be part of an upcoming mod to your recycler one, that doesn't tell what the use of it would be or that it would be the game ending event, just that it would be a *part* of the gametype.
So how are we to know that its the ending event simply from that rough and undescriptive description, now that I know that I can see the fun in it, but from the descrip only its hard to tell what its intent was.
The Scions will get something similar, a Dark Matter Obliterator, as I like to call it, and is still under development as soon as I work out the kinks of this nuke.

You kidding? The XMod nuke is TINY, this thing is about 1/2 scale (impossible to make full scale with BZ2's drawdistance limit) and lasts for a full minute. XMod's is approx 1/30 scale and lasts for less than 10 seconds.
Also, I dont see any killer shockwave on that nuke. (Note, this DOES look a helluva lot better ingame)
the XM nuke is more powerful, pretty much screwing you if you get nukeed even once cus it destroys EVERYTHING exept the forge and the recycler and as i said, yes it is tiny, "the mushroom cloud needs to be bigger.

Um...it aint more powerful, mine is, notice that the ENTIRE base was gone after the fact, unlike the XMOD nuke where it leaves a few buildings in tact.
Plus, the way they are placed, the XMOD nuke is a mega-unbalanced item, whereas this is a part of a new gamemode, where its an "End-of-game" type situation, instead of being able to be fired at any time.

Superbly done.. Loved the EMP like disturbance in the video feed, and the suggested "oh, crap... where to run, where to hide" feeling.
As for the effects, I watched the updates too and I must say, you guys have done a very nice job with the nuke.

There is no nuke in SRV 2.06, you are messing with the "Hammer" SSM, which is basically just a large explosion with a fireball, not a full on nuke.
