We need that kind of toughness to reduce, if not get rid of corruption completely. Corruption is impeding the acceleration of economic progress, she should have been Philippines president a while back because of her extensive background and knowledge in the judicial system. I'm sure she's aware of so many flaws in the century old supreme court laws that need to be revised. Some of those laws protect rotten officials from continuing their notorious ways and abuse of authority.

What she said is so true, even though she said it a little funny: "Pinag-aawayan niyo lang ang mga kick-back ninyo." These senates are very corrupt that they don't even think of the principles of thier jobs as senates. Her personality and experience has made her aggressive and to-the point. She needs to be in a higher position - a president perhaps. I can see that she's got what it takes to turn the country to its right path.

Tyrants, dictators and alike have been known throughout history to find one particular race or religion/sect as 'scapegoats' for the 'ills' of their respective countries. I know that there are corruptions in politics, especially in the Philippines. But, corruption knows neither color, class, race nor religion. And, it's very wrong to denigrate and blame this on an entire class or group of people.

I don't think she does. A true leader takes the blame themselves. They don't point at a scapegoat,specially with this accusation being so stupid. For instance, lets say we have a platoon and one of the lower ranked soldiers screws up, the leader is the one who takes the blame because he is in charge. A true leader in this time would say look...our problem is that WE are corrupt and are so by CHOICE. The only ppl to point fingers at are ourselves and no one else.
