its like a transfer case looking thing that goes behind your trans between driveshaft and tranny, that comes with 2 gears whatever size you want when in use like having overdrive for highway, when not used your tranny is used just as it would otherwise..... so you can run a big gear etc on street and have drivability and not be killed on gas

chevy has had fiberglass vettes since forever and while they have tried since the vette has been around they have failed all of its life to make it a true 50/50 weight ratio car yet again because of there incompetence... honda made a true 50/50 weight ratio car on there first try the s2000 and its the only car on the planet with a double x wishbone chassis something gm cant duplicate yet again not a shocker as they have been trying to get it for there vette since it came out

This was the drag week winner from "07", so yes this video is a few years old. I work with the driver and let me tell you, the new camaro, "Project Sick Seconds" didn't make it to drag week last year but it will be there this year and get the title back. Also, the car is driveable/quiet on the street because of the programing/laptop and the Gear Vendor. Speed cost money, how much you got??? lol

And to the other comment from another user, yes, on the street, all they put in that car was 87 octane... My dad, Gary Pocratsky, is the one riding in the car, and pumping the gas, tuning the car, and wired it from headlight to taillight socket...

I love this vid and it's a beautiful car... not to mention fast. But, I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around world's fastest street car. Too many ways to look at it/variables. 3 years ago I watched a 80ish maroon chevy(totally stock looking) without giant wrinkle-walls run 4.6/4.7 1/8s @ around 137 mph over & over again; then drive away. Full exhaust. Richlands, NC. Only the rails were slightly quicker! Anyone ever see this car! Mexican driver. Carried left front on every launch 100+ft?

@buster21692169 ladder bars are removable, being low has nothing to do with legality, and high octane burns cleaner than low octane. turn down the boost, keep revs low and the noise would be fairly quiet too. it is street legal, else it wouldn't be plated and a cop would pull him over in about a minute or less.

its like a transfer case looking thing that goes behind your trans between driveshaft and tranny, that comes with 2 gears whatever size you want when in use like having overdrive for highway, when not used your tranny is used just as it would otherwise..... so you can run a big gear etc on street and have drivability and not be killed on gas
