Yeah, we have crappy MTV channels here - they're awful. But we also have VH1 Classic (for old fogies like myself), and they put on Classic 120 Minutes just the other night and I nearly died of happiness. It was two hours of bliss. All the music I loved growing up. So fortunately my husband has decided not to board that plane back to England just yet, haha!
MTV UK is rubbish;I preferred the pan european version of MTV Europe with different language soundtracks and subtitles distributed via Astra channel 15 and 22 and Eutelsat Hotbird 1 in clear PAL stereo english 7.02/7.20Mhz Panda 1 that went across many many countries getting huge european audiences from the Canary Islands to Russia and from the UK to south east europe around Greece Turkey and Cyprus.
I don't believe it was Hot Bird, but Eutelsat II F1. Anyway, it went encrypted in 1995, so I watched MCM La Chaine Musicale instead (two years later that went digital before almost anyone had digital receivers).
What is the song played from 00.00 to 00.28, I always liked it and never knew the name of the song. The good old days of MTV UK, today it isn't the same anymore, same old shit with reality shows and now the channel is called MTV One. MTV One, WTF!?????? They deserve a slap for this, they've screwed the brand presence of MTV in the UK.

Our MTV is the absolute worst. If you came to the U.S. and saw it, you'd be back on the plane that same day. It didn't used to be that way, though.

in the uk the mtv channel shows show's and all of that like brooke knows best etc. we have seperate channels for diffrent genres for music.
