This movie by far is probably the most moving and amazing film ever produced. Everyone has their opinions as well as likes and dislikes, and this is my opinion. The movie teaches an important lesson to us all, not only should we value life in all ways, but it shows not only with enough determination will dreams come true, but that no matter how different something or someone is, we shouldn't reject them. Ending makes me cry when Andrew meets his goal and finally earns acceptance. =')

I urge you to find a copy of the book--"The Positronic Man." Judging by what you've written here, I think you would appreciate it, too.

The book is different from the film, but just as worthwhile in it's own way, and it's very interesting to see how the screenwriters borrowed from the book, and then expanded on it...to make much more of the theme using film--very RARE that such a thing ever happens, in my view.

I really adore this film, I am aspiring to be a film creator and this movie still touches my heart and makes me cry, its simply a beautifully written film and everything about it just touches your heart and it has so much life and soul in it, I remember seeing it in theatres as a child and I fell in love with it then and now as an adult it just is beautiful age does not change a films integrity and this film is beautiful my top 5 <3

@Unlovedheart Yeah, me too. I will admit I cried at the end when he died and didn't hear the last words but he didn't need to because he knew. To be honest, the last time I cried over a movie was "The Lion King" and it isn't like me to cry over a film, lol. I am a guy too and again, not afraid to admit that. We're only human and we have emotions and a movie like this lets us show how powerful this film is. Great movie. Robin Williams is such a great actor.

He just died, and one can almost imagine (when in happened to him) he was surprised by it as any other might "ex-human" might find him or herself in the next instant. Surprised? Emotional?

For my part I know probably won't know anything more (than the little I know now) until I'm finally there myself.

But I'm fine with it too. I see it is as "all part of the mystery."
