If the famous photo of Gandhi was taken in 1946 he could not have been assasinated few hours later. Apparently Bourke-White did interview and photgraph Gandhi hours before his assasination but that happened in 1948. But it is probably not this photo. She had photographed Muhammad Ali Jinnah also in 1946. And she had filed an interview of him in 1946. A pakistani on internet claims that she falsified many details of that and other meetings.
