@Ben85paintball yea it will make them go up but doing a lighter weight of more reps will defo help with more reps then a heavy weight would, i know what you mean
They need to PT in THIS. None of this gym shorts and tennis shoes bullshit. The military is WAY too endurance oriented. Doing 100 pushups in a T-shirt isn't nearly as useful as doing 30 of these.
While this may be true that it doesn't do as much to build muscle at the end of the day this is best for the troops because it doesn't matter how jacked you are if you don't have the endurance to carry around, much less run around all day with 60 pound packs then your gonna be left for the towel heads to hit.
How the hell do gym shorts and tennis shoes have anything to do with better endurance? The only good they do is making sure your endurance increases with LIGHT clothing that will never be worn in the field. They just make sure they're not as strong as they could be. Do they go on patrol or fight in gym shorts and tennis shoes? No. Why do all professional athletes do strength and power training for low reps? Because it increases the performance of EVERYTHING you do.
@nukeu571 you're 15 ? where did u get the 3 grand for the plates/vest not including the moly gear .. and dont say its your dads from desert storm cause the blk hawk sand rover edition only just recently came out in 08
@l3lueGhost i never said i had them, im just saying that i have worn them before during Fleet Week up in Ny. I am in the Young Marines, so my Marine recruiter asked if i could do 40 regular push ups, i said of course. then he asked me if i wanted to do some push ups in all of the combat gear. i scream hell yes. so he handed me some gear and i did 15 push ups in it. it really wasnt that hard
@nukeu571 a full combat load for a riflemen is about 120-145 pounds ... thats not lightweight after about 30 im usually burnt out and i can do 85 pushups in a min ... not an amazing amount but via military standards is well above average
vest with just plates is like 20-30 pounds not 70 for the retards trying to glorify the military.
