Serbs didn't need that kind of "mercy", but safe pasage to the allies to regroup and re-enter the war. Essad Pasha allowed Serbs to use Serbian dinar to buy food. That was at least a neutral stance.

This really warms my heart to see the bravery of my Orthodox brothers. There is a similar story in Romania where the Romanians were pushed so far east into Moldova (eastern Romania) that the capital was moved. Just for your own information the first cameras were so big that they have been transported by cameras.The size of the cameras have been gradually decreased but the first small cameras were made in 1940-1950.
in the WW1 a division of 20000 serbian soldiers was evacuated over the danube in romania.They fought bravily on the front against germans.Only arround 1700 survived and returned home.
Bulgarian soldiers had chance to capture Solun in 1915, some months after they started the war, but German Command Center decided not to cross the Greece borders, while Greece was neutral. Neutral but they let French and English troops to pass their terytory.. biggest mistake in ww1 for central powers.
These are the facts, not a point of view. Difficult terrain gave a great advantage to those who defended their positions. That is why this breakthrough was such a surprise for central powers (by their own words).
The most important rule of attackers: To have twice bigger army or even more then deffender to have any chance.
The greek-french-british-serbian formations are many many times bigger then bulgarians. And of course whole world is behind them. Central powers are exousted. That`s why the breaktrough was made..
Bulgarians have the same story about WWI: "They were having victory after victory in WWI and suddenly they surrendered". Bulgaria had more troops in Salonica front than all the Allies over there. Some Bulgarians think that their army had never lost a battle in WWI. Explain why the f**k did they let the "Serbian Bandits" (as their press would call us) overrun them in just 2 weeks.

This movie says that Serbs were attacked by Albanian tribal bands, not by whole Albanian population. Esad Pasha was a friend of Serbian people and he indeed ordered his people to help Serbian army and civilians. Serbian history recognizes this fact very well, as well as the actual movie this video is taken from. However he didn't have control over all Albanians and many retreating soldiers and civilians were killed by hands of local bandits.

By the way at dobro pole the serbs and french had 75 batallions and 580 artillery guns and the bulgarians had 26 batallions and 146 artillery guns.
