@elmocoso I think Mike was saying it was opening day for the Hawks. Yes I believe SJ opened vs Calgary,but I was at this game and it was the first one of the season for CHI.

this was opening day of the 99-00 season....these were the days being a hawks fan. $7 student discount seats, the UC half empty, almost being able to yell on the ice from the 300 level..Daze, Zhamnov, Amonte, Probie, surrounded by a supporting cast of Bill Wirtz's "nobodys". Home game blackouts, and watching the wings and blues come to town and their fans occupy more seats at the UC then Indian Head sweaters. These were the days....

Vernon and Shields both on the Sharks? That's awsome! Both can fight for sure. Sucks for Myhres being the only tough guy on the ice (besides Shields) because his teammates were getting beat up

Great to see Manson on the bench reach in. He's been involved in so many brawls he just couldn't help himself at getting in a shot on Steve Shields. He was probably wishing he was out there getting it on!!!!
