when is this going to be available in America?? Mayor Antonio Villaveribozo wants LA to be the 'electric car center of the world', and all he's doing is lowering taxes? Politicians need to stop using sound bites and follow through with promising cars like the RiverSimple.
passed one today outside Shrewsbury- albeit on the back of a truck lol. It's about time someone launched a hydrogen car- can't believe it's taken sooooo long! There is one hydrogen filling pump in the whole of the UK on the M4 opened last week- hurry up - I want one!!
@ispravljat LOL you totally lost me, Maybe your not seeing the particles maybe your seeing the back ground energy the particles are riding in. like when you put sand on a speaker and get different geometric patterns in the sand depending what music you play.
@ispravljat lol Thanks for the link , it was funny. The air locomotive was one giant air tank with wheels added. Guess it worked fine in the mine tho. What i meant is you cant go buy a air powered car or bike. and I cant store air to run a generator. the equipment just isn't available. I would love some if they were available.
2) Where woud you refuel ? It intimates the unasked question of a closed circuit for protecting environnement as rejecting distilled O2 on the ground would be far worst that CO2 in th air (Ground demineralization).
So do we have a working project now ? Are the initiaters still alive ? Where could we buy this one ? Does it crash test well ?
@lothar2048 I cant find info on this as most of the links have expired...not a good sign. Do you mean H20 instead of O2? why would 02 oxygen demineralize the ground? If you meant water then so little water is ejected ti wold just evaporate off the road surface.
I like the idea of creating my own hydrogen fuel to power my car and maybe even house in the interest of being more independent and self reliant. However, I find that this video and the whole green movement tend to drift away from the idea of self reliance and independence; as exemplified by this video at 1:31 and at 2:06. This video embraces the idea of centrally controlled property where the people have to pay for life for their transportation by via of lease.
@astrialkil hey astrialkil don't let the names throw you off. Liberals and Progressives stand together on the far left side of the spectrum and stand together for big, over powering and controling central goverment. It is I who wants self reliance for if the government turns to tyrany my family and I will not starve and we'll be able to help others.
this is the future of the automobile. work on a better shape and design to fit our individual personalities but the operating system is going to be fuel cell.
I would trade today my car for this one just to support the idea. I like to go out my door to a EV station rent it like a DVD and go to work where I could return it. then when I am done at work do it in reverse. I hate owning a car! To much work for far too little reward!
Screw these type of things. They have good intentions, but I bet you a ton of money no one is willing to change their hard earned gasoline car for something like this. It's just not going to happen. It's sad.
One big problem: Peak Oil == Peak Asphalt. What are you going to drive ON? concrete? Concrete production is one of the biggest producers of CO2. People do need mobility - I would suggest electric assist bikes and trikes and electric trains and just get away from automobiles, period.
PS: What i hear you saying is that leasing is going to be the only way most people can afford to drive one?. I'm sure you will have a market, people waiting in line to be the first to have a new toy. Personally, I'll pass for now, and help the ecology by making only necessary trips in my four cylinder vehicle, and bike those that aren't. .
Leasing, I don't think so. Talk about corporate milking, you want to lease so your corporation always owns the product, the rights and the technology. You are like the pot calling the kettle black. I save and buy a car, and keep it for ten years, or more, and it doesn't have to be new, just well maintained. Do you call that, being wasteful, or would you rather have me in debt? I think of leasing as wasteful, and part of the instant gratification society that we have become.
Excellent concept. Not the best looking car but the company's intention sounds good.. doing away with car ownership and obscelescence. "..Interests of the share holders trump society and the environment.."
At last a believable eco car. You don't seem to have to plug it in for several hours and it goes for a reasonable distance. I WANT ONE AS SOON AS I CAN GET HOLD OF ONE.
I know that this is really an advert, but the principles on show here are brilliant. I can't see a reason not to have one. On the relatively few occasions you need to go further or move something big, use the money you save to hire something bigger.
I'd have one.

2 questions :
1) What is the lifetime of a full cell ?
2) Where woud you refuel ? It intimates the unasked question of a closed circuit for protecting environnement as rejecting distilled O2 on the ground would be far worst that CO2 in th air (Ground demineralization).
So do we have a working project now ? Are the initiaters still alive ? Where could we buy this one ? Does it crash test well ?

And the cynics said hydrogen-fueled cars were an impossibility, and here we are a decade later and guess what?

@mrstudebaker . What you just said exemplifies that they don't care about CO2 emissions; it is about control of the people.

@mrstudebaker Not good where it snows or where you need to drive 30-60 miles to do business!

Anyway, this car is open source. So everybody can built it copy, modificy and distribute. I think anyone will sell it instead of leasing.
