The stretchiness of the thing falling through the roof seems more like a game error than a PC error.

Anyways- fyi, as Alex is being wheeled in the hospital, the people being killed represent the 3 children [besides josh] who were killed and the manner they were killed: dismemberment, asphexiation and being buried alive.

did you download this? ive downloaded the torrent for 3 days, i played it in my desktop and placed all the needed files its DirectX folder has all the files needed audio,xinpu etc.. in a zip but idk where to put it when i play the game i dont have sounds and i get stuck after placing the code it doesnt do anything josh just draws there. i was hoping you could help me. maybe we downloaded the same files?

I'm using Frap software and that is for PC for recording the game actually. The game is a little bit scary but I'm the fan of the Silent Hill series since its first game so I know what to expect. Even though, the first time I played it, my heart couldn't stop beating faster and my hands couldn't stop trembling ;P and then after I beat the game, I had nothing to worry about as I played it again and again. So, I'm sure you can survive while playing it because it is a survival horror game.

I have a question- if you play through the game, and get a different ending, say, the UFO ending, would any parts of the game BEFORE the ending be any different?

@herofromthedark well if you start another playthrough the only thing that will change is that you can pick up 2 new weapons. 1 is the circular saw which you can pickup at the garage after your first playthrough. The other weapon is the laser pistol which can be found in your room somewhere. Other than this the game will be identical.

@herofromthedark oh, well in that case if you choose an unlocked costume then that costume will be present in the cutscenes aswell. Most hillarious one is the PH costume if you ask me:)

Meh quite a shit game, was expecting it to be good but its just aweful, the combat is impossible, the low ammo means you have to melee, dodging doesn't even dodge attacks, half the time you dont even know what you are doing or where you are going.

I love scary games, but, don't you think that the combat in newer scary games almost makes you feel like you have too much power. That's why, I think, the combat in silent hill 1, and 2 especially were good. But i guess it wouldn't make sense for things not to get more advanced. idk, what do you all think???

I've tried to configure the controls for the demo version, but it kept resetting itself after I clicked "Apply" and exit the config screen. Do you have a 360 controller? I heard gamepads in general didn't work very well with SH3. During my 360 play through of the demo, the select and start button were the controls for strafing left and right.. and the equipment screen was the left analog stick button while the pause screen was the right one. Also, try turning on controller before you start.

Even Homecoming didn't work well with the 360 controller....

The problem with SH3 i think is because the controller don't work on older games....

the triggers are not supported in SH3........

yeah.. I don't remember being able to map triggers, or use them in any way. SH3 should support your 360 controller o.O. I got used to the weird layout after about 5 minutes.

Actually the action key, is telling you what to do. If the key says 'Open', that means you need to open it or not. It's your choice. If the key says 'Inventory' that means you have to look inside your inventory to see what kind of items that need to be use in that particular area. You know every games has this kind of action key for example, Resident Evil 5. The purpose of this action key or that symbol thing is that you only need to push one button for every action. Understand?

As for the PC, you only need to push the left click on the mouse to activate that particular action. But if it says 'inventory', you need to open your inventory and use an items. Ok?

You need to relax when you're tapping the mouse. Slowly and gently, tap it, ok! Don't rush. If you're rush, you might click it at the wrong pace and you have to start all over again. Ok?

The controls of the game is as good as GTA III. I know what you mean with the controls in Alone In The Dark, it's kind of irritating and hard to control Edward when he's was on a third-person view
