Solo on the studio version was indeed special. It was put through a leslie rotating speaker. Overdubed yes, but the organ speaker has a cool sound.

i guess they never played all of good times bad times all the way through cause even though pages solos are normally better live the good times bad times studio solo was so treated with effects that it would be one of the few solos (maybe the only) that couldn't live up to the studio version.

page himself describes it as, "studio treated" it's to make it sound way bigger. page was playing at that speed, but it sounds way thicker than it would live. it makes me mad that people gave me a thumbs down on my last comment, it's true.

Yeah, that's a possibility. I'm pretty sure they rarely played Good Times, Bad Times, it usually was used to open with, in con junction with another song.
