@sdmoralesma hmm....i don't have it anymore...but i would also look for other stuff, say DD-7. But if you only need reverb then reverb pedals will work better :)
love both of them! i agree that the MXR's warmer..i guess that comes with having fully analog circuitry. maybe the tech 21 would sound better with a tiiiiny bit of flutter and slightly darker repeats
I'm glad someone did this comparison, I like and own MXR products but the Tech 21 is hands down a better and more versitile pedal. It's got a 9db boost gain and far superior mixes. The CC is nice though but it's no more than a EH Toy in more expensive clothing.
+one to plead. its really is exactly the opposite. teh carbon copy sounds grat through the effects loop, but i ordered the Tech21 and selling the mxr, lol
@infernalhammer The reason it sounds like that is cus he has the tone control all the way up on the Tech 21, if he laid off it it would have been just as dark if not darker.
hey nice review, do you think that carboncopy could works like reverb for metal sounds like thrash or death metal??

Can you controll the pedals volume with the level dial? Or is it only for boosting?

Of course the DLA is going to sound sterile compared to the carbon copy when you have the tone know turned all the way up! ! Also, no flutter?
Take it from Bobby D - turn all the knobs to 12 o'clock and the DLA will smash the MXR.

MXR is warmer. It sounds like the Tech 21 is better for cleans and the MXR would be better with overdriven tones.

its quite the opposite in my opinion as the mxr is a bit muddy with distortion and the tech 21 is not
