  • I am start thinking to go for small jobs.to get an idea about log joints.Only trouble is, NO chainsaw in forestry.salt and safety reason. I think it good for skill, knowledge.

I think you did show all the tools that will do me fine at get go. I will manage simple scribe my self. But I need to bay same kind of axe and handsaw.

    Thanks for video!

And sorry about my poor language

  • ...i liked the info, but, not the rolling storm that was coming....

  • All you did here was copy word for word out of the book "Building the Alaska Log Cabin". As such you need to give credit to the author, Tom Walker, for actually being knowledgeable and skilled in this craft.

Good Luck with the homestead. Keep in mind that while Alaska is colored green on the map, much of that woodland is Black Spruce which is unsuitable for building.

  • @marksmack1 - Sorry about that :) Consider it done.

  • And a couple of beers!

  • A couple of hand planes might be nice to have when fitting the lumber you mill. loved the vid

  • One tool you may find useful that I didn't see is the "Log Wizard"
