Wow, that's a great question Sadie, but to me, it's very broad and, like me, would be hard to define. There are many forms of inspiration, and many reasons that will cause each inspiration.

I suppose a very "me" answer would be:

I am inspired by those that are inspirational, and beyond that, those that actually act upon that inspiration rather than letting it go to waste. There's no sense in being inspired if nothing productive comes from it, inspiration is a state of mind.

Very awesome intro, lol. I loved it. Now, what inspires me. Not much lately. I think the only thing would be the record my driver and I have as a team together at the racetrack. Seems every spring we look at each other ans say, well, what do we do. And i say, If you're doing it again I'm with you. We are in our 27th year together this year. Three track championships, and many top five in points. Our last championship in 2006. That's what keeps me going.

Too many things to list! People doing for others, sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees in the morning, the smell of sea water, I've never really sat down and thought them all out. I suppose there's things that inspire me in life and things that inspire me to do other things I know I should...like my woefully neglected art portfolio. Nature has a big hand in inspiration for that one. I think the sp. needs kids I work with are a daily dose of inspiration too...all sorts of stuff.

It is often something mundane or unexpected. I usually find this moment of awakening when alone and allowed to fully absorb that which surrounds me. Ideas, people, nature and dogs of course. Hi Sadie...What inspires me is average people doing great things for folks they don't even know. Like my Sister, she is a volunteer at a hospital in the palliative care dept. Why does she do that? Because she cares. Or my parents who pick up a woman every Sunday at her appartment so she can go to church. If they didn't do that, she wouldn't be able to go to church, bc no one ever offered her. Millions of other people do that in N.A. alone, and we never talk about them. Sad!!!

I am inspired by people who do not give up, even when the situation looks desperate. For example, in the 30's, French pilot Henri Guillaumet crashed landed in the Andes mountains. He walked for a week, fighting against sleep, which would have meant his death in the cold. Though tempted to give up, he thought about his wife and continued. He survived. He said afterwords: "What I have done, I swear to you, no other animal could have done."

It depends, really. My writing is most inspired by music. My comedy ideas (sketches, bits, videos, etc.) are inspired by very weird giggle-moods I get into when under a certain kind of stress.
