Hey! I like Jackie's sound and style to this song much, much better than Paul Wms. or Stevie Wonder. Yet, they're all great in their own respective way. Jackie just makes this song so romantic and fit for candle-light, and so right for any night.
Released in1968, it was selling very well..entered the Billboard chart in the low #;90's, and within 3 weeks it was #70. Sadly, Motown released an uptempo version by Stevie Wonder,& immediately, radio stations, dropped Jackie's version. Unlike the 50's, radio wouldn't play alternate versions of the same song.this record would have brought Jackie back to the top 10.Stevie didn't know Jackie had this out at the time. What is especialy sad..Jackie put Stevie on his show when Stevie was only 12.
es un agradable tema del momento

It's a cliche, but Jackie Wilson really COULD take any song and make it his.

I like this version...somewhere between Tony Bennett's ultra-slow "original" and Stevie Wonder's upbeat take.

Crescendo extraordinaire!!!
What's also great here is how Jackie sings at his own pace and phrasing, the orchestra had better stay with him or he'd leave them in the dust.
Who's the hot chick on the album cover? Looks a bit like Leslie Uggams.

So very Beautiful, what more can one say?
Thanks so much, a wonderful standard
by My very Personal Favorite, obviously
there was way more talent than some have heard- Jackie Wilson could sing any-
thing and everything, and he did. And he
did it better than anyone... Thanks so much, Tom, I appreciate You.
Best, Marcie B.
