Life is not a trickle down proposition. You have to take responsibility for your own life and your own future.Waiting for the government to send money down your way is a slow death. It stunts and suffocates real life. We are all responsible for out own happiness and our own prosperity. The problem with the world is that people have become way too dependent on other people to trickle life down on them.

Be independent. Be alive. There is no hope and no life in dependency.

The rich are not being punished. The people who are bleeding from working their hands to the bone are the coal miners dying because of deregulation. Wall Street financiers aren't working their hands to the bone and the Horatio Alger stories in America you can count on your own hand. Fiscal conservatives ignore history. During the Great Depression their would have been a violent communist revolution if FDR had chosen to do nothing in 1933. FDR saved capitalism. Ironically Reagan destroyed it.

I was always skeptical of TRICKle down economics - even when President Reagan was totally for it.

It is sort of like taking a shower and just shampooing your head. Then just let the water trickle down, don't soap up or scrub the rest of your body and continue this for a month or so. See how the middle and lower parts get cleaned and smell after a month.

people dont understand what wealth is. we hear that the top earners are getting a huge percentage of the wealth. is there only a finite quantity of wealth? of money maybe but not wealth. I can take a rock and make it into something and I have created wealth. because money is not wealth. goods are. therefore. since wealth can be created. somebody earning alot isnt making it impossible for me to get wealthy since new wealth is constantly being created. its not a win lose situation

Man I tell I have worked back breaking labor lumping 100 pound boxes of leaking clay powder wearing a mask that stalled my breathing. That shit does not pay. That woman is promoting a myth that hard work will put you the top 1% of wage earners. Thats not true. Smart work can give you a wild card chance but the main path is through connections and inheritance. I sucked up my pride and went to my rich godmother for help starting a business and now I make 50 times what I made working hard.

I'm as poor as one can get at making less than $14 an hour. And yet, I have a nice life with lots of nice things because I live within my budget. I don't have kids and I don't have a car payment. So what's with this business of some people thinking they have the right to someone else's money? If a person is "rich" then it's probably because they were smart and focused and driven to succeed. So why is it that so many putrid liberals think that such people should be punished for their hard work?!
