@kllfs112 I don't know who that "Chinese" lady is but the "creepy guy" seated next to her is Shirota Yuu, from the Japanese boy band D-boys. Shirota was born to a Japanese father and Spanish mother, and lived in Barcelona until he was 2. That might explain his Eurasian appearance.

I saw the video where she was singing this song to a group of middle-schoolers. I bawled even before I knew what the song meant, because it's so beautiful. I noticed there's a video of Angela singing live with some fellow artists. Do you have the link to that video?

@vivmuffin Unfortunately, that video has been deleted from YouTube for some reason. I believe the concert in which Aki performed with an all-star cast was televised by NHK, which has been particularly adamant about unauthorized videos on Y-T. Sorry I couldn't help you.

@janisian For everyone out there, Angela Aki is the contemporary Janis Ian (another extremely talented songwriter-performer from my era). Janis won a Grammy Award for her song "At Seventeen". Like Angela's "Tegami", "At Seventeen" is also about adolescent angst.

@VidBrats were I? :D actually i just be honest. it's hard to edit this kind of work that u did. i understand a little about editing and music, unless you really detail, your work will be mess. becos in the end, it's all about tempo, right?

@mitayashi True, tempo and key. It seems Aki originally composed this in the key of b flat but the published sheet music that most of the cover versions are based is in the key of e. That really complicated the mix.

@VidBrats really? wait,... i check my version. coz i actually had transcribe it *vanished* *returned* eh.. well, my version, according to my hearing was played on A flat. :D i'm not really surprise because i think it's possible that the quality of recording might different.

another alternative thinking is that because aki's voice is quite high, so i understand if most people pull down the pitch to E. I personally have difficulty to sing that song in A flat.
