Martina Mcbride is truly amazing, its so touching to see that she still goes back to her roots, and knows the true country of which she came from. Having said that her modern songs are just flawless, truly my favourite singer
Wow! Now I see where she gets her talent. She is just wonderful---she never got the awards she should have. But she's still around and on the charts so she has tons of fans out there.
hahaha ...Man, I remember listening to real roots country as a young child in Caledon. I didnt appreciate it..until I got older. WOW...talk about dancing in my living room. to.."honky tonk angel"..:P
Wow! This brings back memories of going 'Schifftin' back when I was younger. No one had a doubt what Martinas' destiny was, her family was very musical. I want to thank her and her family for the once in a lifetime memories!
My grandpa is very good buddies with him. I actually talked with Darryl on the phone today!! :) I'm not a poser, because I saw Darryl in his store in Kansas, when I used to play the violin. He is a very kind man :)
While Martina McBride never stops "delivering" a fabulous reply of "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels" (original song by Kitty Wells) to "Wild Side Of Life" (original song by Hank Thompson) performed by Martina's Dad, Darrell Schiff. While no one could top Kitty Wells at performing "It Wasn't God Who Made Honky Tonk Angels," Martina gives an absolutely fabulous performance.
I don't recall them extremely well as it was over 30 years ago, but I do remember the dances Martina and her family put on in the small towns around her hometown. I'm wanting to say she was around 9 or 10 and by damn she could sing then too! She will forever be our country sweetheart around here :)
