  • I have a Stewart too......but I can't make it sing like that....you are awesome!!!!

  • LOL I'll make sure to keep a banjo in the kitchen !! love it !

  • you are REALLY good. i wish i had even 100th your talent

  • Just keep pickin' You'll get there. hahaha

  • That was awsome. thanks

  • I have been thinking about doing just the opposite. A friend gave me a new six string banjo guitar. I have been considering cutting the neck down to a 5 string profile and maybe pulling the frets.

  • I've got a friend who is doing that. I haven't seen the results yet but am curious to see how it will work out. Keep me posted on the project...

  • Really nice!

  • pure poetry - banjo playing is pretty good too

  • Banjo playing is poetry.. But I do have to say this.. I'm concerned that you may be going down a bad road, staying up late and listening to banjo players. Didn't yo mama teach you better?

  • Good idea, For some reason you pay a lot extra for a fifth string and tuner. Why do five string banjos cost so much more?

  • I think it's just because there's more demand for them. You can't put a fifth string on just any old 4 string and have it sound right. Not sure why, something about the way they're fretted. I've done quite a few with some success, and this one turned out really well. The neck on my gas can is also a converted 4 string.

  • Good story...good job turning 4 into 5...good job giving me a grin this morning. Have a good day, too.
