Hi, Autumn. I wanted to know what type of hair you have and if you have put any chemicals in it?because I am completely natural, but I don't have that nice soft fro. I have what they call "Negro" hair. You ever heard "tougher than Nigerian hair"? Yea. I'm Nigerian. Lol. But I want to stop putting braids and weave in and I want to leave it out, but it needs to be more manageable. So I want to make it curly like yours. Any tips, please? Please respond! :)
Autumn, you look GREAT! This is my favorite style on you for sure! What a very cute look on you! I hope I can get mine to come out as cute as yours did!!
PS
Your simple tutorial on twists helped me! I was so twist- and braid-challenged and I have really gotten good with my flat twists. Yay! Thank you!!
Autumn, you're quite a talker in your videos. But thats what makes them cool n funny. I just subscribed =] I've been natural for 4 years and I'm tired of not havin ne growth over the years. Blunt answer is because I didn't "baby" it and take care of it as I should. I'm rockin curly styles now [I hate that it takes me awhile to set the bantu knots, etc, but I love the resutls] I'm also using shea butter [i love it] I'm doing the BRAID TWIST OUT. i may start doing videos like you. It looks fun.
I haven't gone through all of your videos but I was interested in knowing more about your path to eating healthy and all things associated with this. I have been natural ( hair) for like six years but have recently discovered a passion for wholesome living altogether. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thanks i tried it thanks alot i love it......espacially for lazy night and you still get a good look in the morning. i actually like to see you hair like this!
I think she may have a different texture of hair--the softer, curlier kind. Different textures are going to come out looking differently. My hair would never come out looking as curly as hers, no matter what I did!
if anyone has SHORT / SHORTER hair, please let me know if you have a vid/pics of your results. my hair type is like Autumn's, but my length is not quite there yet. so i'd love to see if it is workable on shorter hair. :)
Hey i wanted to ask how did u get ur hair so curly? Did u twist ur hair into smaller twist ? cause its really curly n i really want to accomplish that style
Nice hair! my curly fro didnt come out the same as yours did tho. I twisted mine and tucked it under itself. my video is underneath this one so you can see it. what do you think i did wrong? Thank you for the video. :)
Sorry if I keep asking questions, but is that really all you did? It seems soo simple and your came out better than the instructor so I was wondering...that's really it? And also, how many twists did you do again?
Hey nice video..I think I am a 4a and my hair draws up really tight after washed...I have had my hair nature all my life but I usually press it every two weeks unless its braided..Do you blow dry your hair before you start the regimen or was your hair just air dried? help...lol
WOW!!! I am currently in my second tour of going natural. I cut it all off as a junion in college and went through some oh so rough stages. My point is had I known about all of these videos back then I would have never gotten a perm again and been in my second attempt at going natural. I just wanted to say thanks for taking the time out to share your experiences and techniques with everyone. It is truly beneficial. This time I will stick to flat ironing it straight vs. a relaxer. Thanks!!!
Autumn, Happy NY - recently seen your site- vids are great! How do you maintain the texture of your hair throughout the day? Mine starts out with definition but after being outside for 1 hr looses its effect i.e.looks really full and frizzy. My hair is natural - very similar to your texture. I'm tempted to give it a quick press after washing(what I usually do)to help maintain a natural style. Sorry if you've answered already but don't recall quest like this in your FAQ's. Many thanks Donnamay.
do you have thick straight hair?!?!?!!? if so you can use rollers and sit under a dryer its best if your hair is thick or medium cuz it wll hold a lot better
That do is so cute! You curly ladies need to keep your head up! I'm watching your videos even though I'm white chick with super flat and boring hair -_- I would do everything to get that kind of curly greatness :)
When I was a girl, my favourite Spice Girl was Mel B because of her hair. I tried to persuade my mom to let me take perm but that didn't go through xD
Its crazy. So many Black people hate their hair, so to hear you say that is a testament to how ignorant those people are. I'm happy to see viewpoints of people in other races that are positive. Love it!
yes, thank you for your comment. some of the most supportive people in my life in regards to transitioning have been kool white chicks like you; i never knew yall admired our hair!!!...while we do everything to do make sure our natural kinks never show. its crazy for sure. much luv, peace, and happiness to all.
I just love your hair...I am in the beginning process of transitioning, and have not even started thinking about the big chop, I just hope my hair is as nice as yours, b/c to be honest I really don't remember what my natural hair texture is like...but I guess that doesn't matter b/c whaever it is like, its me and I am going to have to start loving me, but thanks for the video though!
Your natural texture is fine, the biggest mistake is to expect your hair to be like someone else's. You're right, gotta love the self unconditionally :)
Your videos are so clear. I want mines to be like yours. Thanks for sharing the style tips for afros, I made a video too for the first time, I hope you try some of the products I have mentioned, am new to this environment..so bare with me. Thanks you have inspired me.
you are so pretty! and i love , love , love your hair. i am contiplating going natural. i've been in weaves for five years and my hair hasn't seen a relaxer in that time. i really don't want to go back to relaxers, i think i'm burnt out on that which is why i did the weave thing just to stay off my hair. but now, i'm tired of weaves and i think i'd be cute natural LOL! seeing your hair is making me want to more. but i am scared cause its new. did u transition too? how did u do it?
Your hair is so beautiful. I have just joined youtube and have been so excited about the info I have found on how to sytle and maintain natural hair. I can't wait until my hair grows out more so that I can try this. This style is so cute!
