  • no he has asics wrestling shoes

  • J's-jordan's...as in michael jordan shoes. they sorta look like em but no i'm sure those are wrestling shoes

  • Whats up Joe? This is Tommy from Vamos. Awesome move!!!

  • Interesting and cool looking, but you can do a hip toss or tai otoshi much faster and more safely from the overhook than this particular version of seoinage.

  • @haffoc fuck hip toss

  • just pull the arm back and he will drop on his back and if he tries to belly down he can't cause u got the arm taped.

  • pretty much a jap wizzer

  • a lot of times i find you both land on your stomach and you can spin to his back

  • These are AWESOME TUTORIALS!!!

    Thx guyz!!!

  • Is this legal in highschool wrestling?

  • yes my coach is getting me to learn it atm

  • im confident it is. otherwise they wouldnt be teaching it (assuming this is a group of high school students)

  • @xxxSpiderVendettaxxx---

    That is correct.

  • Is this folkstyle wrestling?

  • Is this highschool wrestling, I mean, is this folkstyle or freestyle???

  • That's like the Seo Nagi in Judo.

  • No, the drop seoi nage is another throw, usually called an arm throw in wrestling. The setup and movement are really quite different.

  • Is this only permittable in freestyle or can you shoulder spin(arm whirl) in freestyle as well?

  • *in folkstyle as well

  • both. however in freestyle the scoring of it might be differnt as well as the rules on "slamming" an opponent. Over all tho its pretty universal.

  • Its not a move you would go into the match saying you'd attempt to do. I think it's a risk move. He has an underhook on you. Wait.. You'd get reversal and back points and a takedown for this..?

  • not that risky if you put your head to his temple, stay tight, and really whip it through hard. at most if he counters hard you switch to a quick arm drag to finish the td or escape to neutral with no points going either way. can't hate on the ol japanese whip. nope.

  • Does that black guy have J's on ?

  • what are J's?

  • There a type of shoes there called jordans there usually for basketball

  • @jscioli83 Jordans lol

  • in MN we call that a jap wizzar it works well if your quick with it

  • cool thanks.

  • well i learned a jap whizzer from the front sort of instead of from the side and this is a aarm throw im not correcting u im just saying this is how i learned it

  • it's easier to put your forehead to the side of his head if you step to the side. this stops his being able to use that underhook. if you are square he could hit a high C among other things.

  • I got a question has anyone hit this take down in a match.

  • well one of my kids... no. but as far as it being taught as a real live on the spot maneuver absolutely.

  • i have many times. and i've coached kids who've hit it. it's a legit move. i like to set it up off a two on one. he really shoots that free arm up there to get a nice rotation too. great move.

  • y dunt u jus shoot a firemens with the over hook

  • because its a throw. a fireman's is an entirely different move.

  • only if you suppose that the other guy would not move. There are at least two ways of counter attacking this whirl. In greco we are tought how to react in these situations. But, you've earned my congratulations as you managed to show it extremely good to the kids there! Nick from Greece.

  • ill get around to showing the counters to this soon. thanks buddy.

  • You think it would be easily countered in folk style? I don't want to do it and get put on my back :P

  • well you need to practice it so ur comfortable when ur in a match should u want to use it. you might just lose the takedown.
