@FallToRise actually, it's a subgenre of death metal, which combines black metal (synth and the screams and depressing riffs) and death metal (pretty much the vocals, can't say much else) and metalcore (the metalcore like riffs) on a side note i hate metalcore riffs, but these guys make them sound good, very original, now please don't sound retarded and confuse core with metal. and "blackmetal" don't have the capacity to carry "death growls" given their name because they are only in death metal.

The screams could have been done even if that band had never heard black metal, because of the shitload of other deathcore bands whos vocalists do the same thing. And the riffs sounds straight deathcore....nothing black metal about it. It sounds sinister, but thats the point of most metal, to sound evil, aggressive, brutal. So you could come up with that sound with almost no black metal influence at all.

@FallToRise actually, it's a subgenre of death metal, which combines black metal (synth and the screams and depressing riffs) and death metal (pretty much the vocals, can't say much else) and metalcore (the metalcore like riffs) on a side note i hate metalcore riffs, but these guys make them sound good, very original, now please don't sound retarded and confuse core with metal. and "blackmetal" don't have the capacity to carry "death growls" given their name because they are only in death metal.

The screams could have been done even if that band had never heard black metal, because of the shitload of other deathcore bands whos vocalists do the same thing. And the riffs sounds straight deathcore....nothing black metal about it. It sounds sinister, but thats the point of most metal, to sound evil, aggressive, brutal. So you could come up with that sound with almost no black metal influence at all.

@iSplitHearts there is no "hardcore" in it. it is blackened deathcore.... black metal/ death metal/metal core. most of it's influences come from metalcore though, like most deathcore. thats why most deathcore sucks. and now they suck more because of the band emmure which started the gay yelling scene rather than doing actual vocals. and bring me the horizon brang in the gay screams you hear in most deathcore bands, and job for a cowboy brought the unbrutal bree pigsqueals.
