We shouldn't have to keep stressing to each other that black hair is good or nice because if we keep arguing over shut like hair thats implying that something if wrong with black hair and that in order to convince ourselves otherwise we have to keep bitching about our hair

@Lilyh1880 I agree this is by far the best vidoe Ive seen so far. I wear my hair natural as well, but I would love to wear it straight sometimes but I have to fight the rain and other elements.
@Lilyh1880 I agree this is by far the best vidoe Ive seen so far. I wear my hair natural as well, but I would love to wear it straight sometimes but I have to fight the rain and other elements.
@GlikeafGangsta000 umm hmm; not that im offended by wha' u said...but its NOT jus' black women who wear weave but there are white women who wear weave as well...and every female celeb ( black, white, etc.) u see on television 24/7 wears weave to some extent....so its not jus' black women wearing weave...women of other races do as well
@GlikeafGangsta000 That is so true. With weave, you have so many unnecessary worries like water and trying to blend the weave in so it can look natural. I would rather spend $300 dollars on hair products to help keep my real hair protected than to waste it on weave that I will eventually throw away. Weave sucks.
There are pros and cons to weaves and wearing your hair out (natural or relaxed). I will wear my hair out for a while and give my hair a break with weaves or braids. Weave are great for the winter time when my hair loves to break off and are not as bulky as braids. Love 'em.
@kisham1984 u can do a full head weave with the closure on top, and comb and layer the hair..... thats how i do mine cos i dont like any leave outs :)
@kisham1984 you can do it with a closure or by just using tracks with leaving no hair out. Only thing is without using a closure you run the risk of the hair looking somewhat wiggy
i wanna do my own sew in and im very particular............too bad I can't braid lol. Good video tho. Megan Good's sew in is the only kind I like. I dont like closures or wig looking sew ins or full sew ins without a leave out. They all look bad and fake to me.
Good hair means hair that is healthy, regardless if it is kinky, wavy, straight, ect!...i know black women who have beautiful healty hair down there below backs reaching their buts and have never worn a weave/wig!. and i know girls with straight hair who have destroyed their hair by straightening it constantly!
@spiderlegs1987 OMG!! I have indian hair just like u!!!! I'm a number 4. U fail to realize if black ppl want to change their hair, all they have to do is buy hair that is most likely better quality than your natural hair... Jus sayin
@MsTee828 thanks! You just determine how far over and how far back you want the parting and bangs. I also add a little extra room for the hair that is going to cover the track. So if you want your part in a certain area you section off the hair a little past that area to allow for the hair that covers the track
I loved this video!!! Doing this today. Thank you :)... Also my hair isn't rough. Black women like to change up their hair like we change our clothes, make up, etc. my man loves it and so do I so that's all that matters. We don't need to justify what we do. Even women with "good hair" do this. White, black, Indian blah blah blah. People are so ignorant lol.
lol.@ the comment ''rough hair'' ....WOW!....... all types of women , with all different types of ''hair textures'' get weaves !!!...... please educate yourself before leaving such unecessary and ridiculous comments ...;-)
@RonnCott ;lol u have to admit as rude as she was with it, she has a point. Black peoples hair is "rough" c(comparitively to other races). Thats not a bad thing...thats just a faact. And the fact that we are paying upwards of $100 to buy indian peopls hair, is saying we prefer their hair...So in fact we're the ones making her point lol. Just something to ponder...
@zazezalo Uh excuse me, Black ppl's hair is not rough! When kinky hair is well taken care of it is very soft and shiny hair...And not all Black ppl have kinky hair, also just b/c we like to weave our hair up doesn't necessarily mean we prefer indian ppl's hair to our own, b/c I for one have worn my hair in TWF, cornrows, micros, and I want some dreads, and I can't wait to wear my real hair in a big, stupid, pretty fro when it gets longer!!! You did a lot of generalizin in your statement...
@carmelbrown I said "comparatively to other races". I did generalise because of course black ppl are a mixed race so, some may have curly, etc hair. But our hair, and look this up if u want, was designed to be hightly coiled (read:rough) to protect us from the hot heat of Africa. I dont see whats wrong w/ that? I never said anything was wrong with it. But sorry, our hair was just not designed to be "shiny" as u put it. If so, we wouldnt have to go out of our way to get it that way.
@zazezalo First: Black ppl are not a mixed race, Black ppl possess every physical feature genetically known to man. In the countries of Togo and Benin for instance, Black ppl's appearances are highly varied and it's 100% natural. No shit sherlock, I've heard of the fallacy of Black ppl's hair bein coily to protect their scalps from the sun. I didn't say it our hair was a bad thing either, and once our hair is shiny when it is taken care of. Yes, sometimes our shiny hair isn't so evident at times
@carmelbrown how is that a "fallacy"? So taken care of hair= shiny hair. So therefore shiny hair= good hair? See what i mean....proved my original point.
@zazezalo First: Don't put words in my mouth, & don't twist my words. I haven't said anyhtin bout "good hair," I don't even use that term in my daily vernacular & totally despise it. I said "the fallacy of Black ppl's hair bein coily to protect their scalps from the sun." That is a fallacy b/c there are full blood Africans that don't have coily/kinky hair! Therefore, ur point isn't proven by you nor I. LOL. Usually, hair that is taken care of has a natural sheen/shine to it. It is what it is.
@zazezalo Speak for yourself. Not all black people prefer Caucasian/Indian looking hair and furthermore, to call black hair "rough" is an insult. Black hair would only be rough to the touch if you don't know how to look after it, and unfortunately most black people do not know how to properly look after their hair. I have natural hair and it's soft to the touch. So sorry, it's not a fact.
@aymbot4gaming Okay maybe i spoke to soon. When I say "rough" I didnt mean "rough" as in sandpaper. I meant: not silky like all other races. Thats not a bad thing btw. One time my cousin said abt a natural haired girl "Omg her hair looks so dry!" bt having been natural and seeing how it was maintened I could tell it was probably rlly soft "to the touch". But it did "appear" to be dry (read:rough) b/c our hair just doesnt reflect light that well. Once again: not a bad thing! :)
@spiderlegs1987 Our hair is not rough, we all have diffrent textures of hair and it's not painful either. Im black and I have soft hair when its straighten or at it's natural state.
It's so beautiful, I love it, I keep saying I want to get a weave, but I am all natural and I don't know if she will be able to get my braids that flat, so I can wear a sleek look. I get tired of the wigs.
For everyone saying Aaliyah didn't have weave.... She started out without weave. She did have a gorgeous head of hair. She did add extensions to the back of her hair later in her career.

Very nice, but I couldn't see the flow because the girl held her head down with her hand covering her face at the end. I wanted to see a close up of the swoop and part. Thanks for sharing your technique. the braiding pattern was neat and cute too!
