Excellent! For me there is nothing quite like starting a fire and spending some time in a shelter. The woods at night is something I wish everyone could experience. Oh yea, "It's still just moss" LOL. Hey, I like the night vision shots.
yup... it's moss. haha. love your shelter design man. congratz on finding that bed roll. the monstrous fir bark. makes me happy to see other canadians doing survival.

How do u prevent the fire from spreading and lighting your hut on fire or causing a forest fire?

Mate....what camera did you use for this?
The night vision looks to be working quite well.
Or is that just because of the ambient light from the fire?

@RDPproject It's a Sony handycam, I'm sure that the firelight helped the nightshot but it usually works pretty good for 8-10 feet.

Excellent. Really enjoying this series. Not surprised about the moss see my comment on the previous video.
Couple of questions
How did the bark sleeping mat perform?
Do you really strike your fire starter against the blade, I thought most use the spine of the knife?
What camera gear are you using, it seems to work well in low light?
dmgm1970 1 year ago
@dmgm1970
No mate....hes using the Choil of the knife to
strike the firesteel with...not the blade.
It was added in the annotations but it may have been put up
after you saw the video.
