See, the Gospel is veiled in the Old Testament, and manifested in the New Testament. The thing is that he refuses to say that Jesus is the only way. If he is a preacher, if he is a pastor, by wanting to improve people's lives independently from faith in Jesus, he is not only betraying the calling all Christians have of proclaiming salvation, but he is keeping people from turning to Christ.

Their life might improve, but they are still going to Hell. The bottom of line is that we (people saved by Christ) are pilgrims, strangers, we are not of this world so all we do, especially in preaching, has to be God-centered. Joel's preaching is completely man-centered.

We are obliged to say what God has said and as I've already shown, JESUS said "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.". That's plain simple, and the message of the Gospel. If we don't say it, we're robbing people of the Word of salvation.

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that he died and rose again, you will be saved. Joel is not a fire & brimstone preacher. Some preachers are and there is a place in the body of Christ for them. God is still using Joel to reach those he is reaching; who might not otherwise listen to more conservative preachers and many are getting saved as a result.
Everyone is not the same! We all have different ways of delivering the message that the Lord has planned for us, in our own way, to deliver. Jesus was very different from John the Baptist who was very different from Paul,

I think it is unintelligent of you to not see the benefit of Olsteen's encouraging words. You should know your Bibles anyway and find a balance. I come from a Bretheren background (similar to Baptist) with a solid grounding and knowledge of the Bible and the Christian message of the cross, what was missing from that was the message of God's love.

Christians can and must judge what preachers say and anyone else claiming to speak as a Christian. It's a discerning judgment, not a condemning judgment, that's God's job. Osteen did not deny Jesus at all as the only way. He agreed with the caller just as he said. Christians need to listen ( for once ) and that is good enough. Did he have to speak louder for you? His statement, "I agree with her..." is enough. The critics who are on the right who are born again are still yet ignorant of Osteen being used by God. Therein lies the problem. Osteen's gift is evident yet Christian critics refuse to be mature enough to see this.

The "Christian critic" here have zero interest in keeping the Unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. All they are concerned about is their little view of the Bible, most of which is wrong anyway. But, what do they care? It gives them some sense of "purpose" that they would not have unless they had "views."
Jesus Christ Himself is ALL we need. They care NOTHING about growing in His grace and knowledge because they do not CATE to know HIM and to LEARN HOW TO LOVE.

People have different beliefs. Just because you can't fully comprehend what he's saying or you don't totally agree with him, it doesn't mean that he's christless or something. Did Judas return the money or go buy a plot of land with it? Depends on which gospel you read. Did Judas hang himself, or burst asunder? Depends on which gospel you read. If you think you are pleasing God by closing your eyes to problems with the bible, you need to open those eyes.

@k0smon So in Luke 24, Jesus showed them that ALL SCRIPTURE, the Old and the New Testament speak of Him. The Old Testament speak of things that are to happen (Jesus' life, death and resurrection and the salvation that comes thereof), and the New Testament speaks of what has happen. See, the Gospel is veiled in the Old Testament, and manifested in the New Testament. The reason we can know that Jesus is the Messiah is because he fulfilled all the Law an the prophesies in the Old Testament.

The thing is that he refuses to say that Jesus is the only way. If he is a preacher, if he is a pastor, by wanting to improve people's lives independently from faith in Jesus, he is not only betraying the calling all Christians have of proclaiming salvation, but he is keeping people from turning to Christ.

Their life might improve, but they are still going to Hell. The bottom of line is that we (people saved by Christ) are pilgrims, strangers, we are not of this world so all we do, especially in preaching, has to be God-centered. We are obliged to say what God has said and as I've already shown, JESUS said "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.". That's plain simple, and the message of the Gospel. If we don't say it, we're robbing people of the Word of salvation.

He doesn't have the power to condemn anybody, but he is obliged to say that God has condemned all those who don't believe in Jesus. Is Osteen lacking in simple intelligence? What the Mormons MEAN by the name Jesus is totally different to what the Bible means by this
at 0:50 he says he has not studied mormonism, yet he is a preacher. It is his job to study these things.

Mormonism also says Jesus is a created being..the product of a union between God the father and a very hush hush Goddess mother. Mormonism is polytheistic and therefore as well as occultic and also pushes its followers to believe the old lie of the serpent that "You can become Gods". So no Joel, Mormons are not Christian based on doctrine.

Why don't he preacch on salvation? Jesus came to save mankind not to make us happy. This man wants to be liked and sell books. Jesus wasn't liked by everybody. Then again Jesus wasn't trying to get rich.
I am a street minister. I am out there trying to save souls for the kindom of God. I and many like me are doing what God calls us to do. Preach the true gospel without sacrifice. Many people love this guy because he do not hold anyone accountable. ITCHY-EAR GOSPEL. Shame on him.
