@WithDreday As far as I know, any trainer. I used Teleport on the trainer in the grass on the left of Nugget Bridge and it worked. So you can do that on any trainer, it just takes practice.

you can do this glitch with many, many trainers, just the one for mew and gengar are most famous. The way the glitch works is that the special stats are the same as the trainers and a pokemon's number you fought or something like that i dont really know. just google how does the mew glitch works in pokemon blue red yellow and go to wikipedia if you really wanna know.

This is all wrong, you teleport away from the trainer in the patch of grass next to the bridge, and when you defeat the Hiker, you teleport and walk towards the bridge, upwards. Your menu will pop up. Just press B and gengar will come

The glitch actually works on any trainer there that you can make move. The result will always be different each time. I forgot them all but the Gengar and Mew ones are the most commonly known ones. You can actually do it multiple times and acquire all the possible combinations.

This works with every trainer. Believe this. Be careful, even when you find different Pokemon (with each time you do the cheat) there ARE some trainers who make Missing No Appear. It will freeze your game. So far just by going through Vermillion City and Route 12- I found 4! I also ran into quite a few Pokemon you can not catch ANYWHERE else, so far this includes: Shellder and Magmar. I plan on making a list. But instead of ruining my hard copy of Yellow, I plan on doing it through a Rom.

for the gengar, yes. as long as you don't battle the guy by the underground pass, you can use the same method and battle other trainers for other pokemon. so far, i have found many missingnos, mew, moltres, scyther. etc.

Do the "gambler trick" (This will disable start menu), fight a trainer(will re-enable start menu), go find a wild ditto (R/B East of Fuschia Y: Pokémon mansion), have the wild ditto transform into your pokémon which has a special stat of 14, defeat the ditto and fight NOTHING ELSE, fly to Lavander town, go onto the route with the gambler, start menu will pop up, press B, wild gengar will appear.

Yes, using the Extended Mew glitch/Ditto glitch.

You have to have a pokemon with a special stat of 49 for Golem, 149 for Alakazam. For the steps on how to do the glitch, look at the Mew glitch bulbapedia page.

What pokemon you see depends on the special stat of a pokemon (maybe the last pokemon you faced?) of the last trainer you faced. The youngster's slowpoke's special stat is 21, so you'll encounter Mew. The hiker with 4 pokemon (I think his last pokemon has a special stat of 14) will cause you to encounter Gengar.

For a chart, google Mew glitch and click on the result at bulbapedia.
