  • Makes me think of the busy random New York streets during busy weekdays

  • lacks groove, all i hear is a jumbled mix of drums

  •

    Speed Kills

    watch?v=7sjgvylvF5E

  • don't listen to all these drummers try to outwit themselves. You're clearly expressing yourself which is what it's all about. Doesn't matter if you have the cleanest chops around

  • Comment removed

  • @TheMrDrumsoloist ARE YOU SERIOUS????!!??!?! WHERE ARE YOUR VIDEO'S??? HIGHHAT GROOVE BUILDING,LESS NOTES,TRANSITIONS!!!?!?!?! WHAT!!! YOU WOULDN'T KNOW A GROOVE IF IT BIT YOU IN THE ASS!!! YOU ARE SURELY SMOKING SOME SERIOUS KUSH!! YOU LOVE TO LISTEN TO YOURSELF TALK!! I SPOKE WITH TONY WILLIAMS,ELVIN JONES,DAVE WECKL,JOJO MAYER,WILL KENNEDY,MARCO MINNIMMEN,STEVE GADD,OMAR HAKEEM,ALEX ACUNA,TONY ROYSTER,GENE KRUPA,BUDDY RICH,COZY COLE,COBHAM,THEY ALLLL SAID YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT!!!

  • a big real drummer

  • magna cum laude on music?....does that exist?...

i really dont want to express myself bad, because i dont even have a video here, but i think he's not as good as he claims. sorry for my english.

  • Inspiration for drums: Ringo Starr... I laughed so hard...I understand what he means, but ringo is not on my top list of drummers...this guy is great, and you can see his john bonham and cobham influences!

  • outstanding

  • Come batterista sei bravo. Però la coordinazione non è tanto perfetta!!

  • It seems like you have a "bag of tricks" and your trying to utilize everything you know of to impress these fusion fans when if you just felt the drum solo from your heart it probably would have came out cleaner/smoother...good drumming though.

  • I appreciate your exertion it s really works ,it s just about that what kind of music you like,,you re ok,,great

  • I was not expecting that at the end.

  • very good. keep it up.

  • Keep practicing man you'll get there. You can tell you're an amateur, but I don't mean that as an insult.

The foot pattern of the hi-hat is inconsistent and the hands need work, but not bad chops over all.

I hope people don't post videos here only for praise because that shouldn't be the case.

You are ok, but not close to professional obviously, but I defintely see skills here dude.

Go for it and I hope all your dreams come true broseph!!!

    Practice, practice, practice!!!

  • @QuasiSane45 HAHA! Okay, since you're so godamn smart about this, let's see you post a video. Can't? Oh, that's right, you're all talk you faggot. Don't act all high and mighty because you've watched your share of drum videos on YouTube. Get out of here. Fucking queer.

  • very nice work .i am a bass player from pittsburgh.really appreciate a good drummer.luv it

  • speed but i need groove

  • nice dude !!

  • Not OTT, but you have to admit he's got more technique than any average rock drummer.

  • awesome point the last picture show

  • hey ~ are you crazy ??? i love you!

  • i really need some jazz drum beats for this audition i have, any suggestions?

  • A jazz swing rhythm? That's more or less the only one there is, and then small variations.

You know how that one goes, right?

  • Stfu :)

  • messi toca bateria?

    ajjaja xD

  • nice

  • I made a fusion drum video you might want to check out.

  • It's the worst thing ever.

  • I agree

  • lol well thats good.

  • dialed

  • nice sound...

  • awesome i love this.

  • ridiculous

  • 2:59 That was tight!

  • he kinda looks like "charn" from Job For A Cowboy :D

  • you mean Jon?

  • yup

  • Did you write down your own profile? LOL

It seems that you`re very sure about your ~talent~, right?

  • great sound and improvisation, keep it up, you are a great performer, great style toooooo

  • yeah. that's im talking about man... that is a nice peformance.. keep it up.. maybe you can play in buddy rich big band

  • wats the name of the song and beat he play

  • its pop goes the weazel...common to any jack in the box! j/k isnt he awesome!

  • The haters dont have any videos because they suck. This guys seems fine to me..

  • I love the way his toms sound.

  • i love that he sites pat wilson in his inspirations. me too. weezer kicks ass.

  • he really good

  • Ok every one Whose talkin shit shut the fuck up !!! please this bs drives me fuckincrazy if you cant drum SHutp Your godamn mouths Im a drummer and I say its great your not so please DONT SPEAK !!!

  • why does he suck? i see alot of drummers on youtube who do around the same but no one says they suck. Maybe some people just are unlucky to meet the haters hahas

  • i wanna know where all you haters' drum videos are. if you wanna one up someone do it. until then shut the fuck up!!!!

  • I think you guys are being too harsh on him. Even amazing musicians have to live off their gigs, so I imagine this is just a sort of a resume. It has all his info and a video of him playing for any potential fellow musicians to see. There's nothing wrong with trying to get a job, I don't think he's just trying to impress kids watching this in their basement.

  • Stuffed up really badly about 5 times.

  • HOW?

  • cok güzel...

  • this guy is amazing screw u all

  • i like this.. cok güzel...

  • What was your major at Berklee? From the looks of your playing it was obviously not drumming.

I recommend calling Berklee to see if you can get some of that drum lesson money back.

This wouldn't be a problem if guys like you would just say "here is me playing". Instead, you have to add a big bio and name drop every teacher you studied with... and who THEY played with.... and your GPA too... all of which has nothing to do with how good you really are(n't).

    You're just not that good.

  • Looking past the ego he's still a great drummer.

  • The only moment of "greatness" is at 2:56... that one second of silence.

  • I think your being way too hard on him.

  • Yeah you're right and I'm with you almost all the way, because he IS really high on his ego, but he's still a pretty good drummer.

  • The front of the solo sounded like some of Matt Smith's concepts. This guy is a good player.

  • love the main groove at the start. lol. good job.

  • nice snare work and grooves. awsome solo.

  • I doubt that unless i see physical proof.

  • jajajaja chevre!

  • stop hating this sounds great fools

  • check out Louie Moses drum solo cut 2

  • hay man this is no fucking way near any tony williams

  • This guy has great finesse

  • Great! Really liked it!

  • really kool i want to play the drums like that..

  • really nice drumming mate

  • wow

  • can you do that??

    exactly!!!twat

  • i agree, ive never heard a drummer sound more white...

  • LOL, so true dude.

  • What a dumb comment. Music has nothing to do with race and everything to do with culture.

  • i can play what he plays, honestly. so does this mean i can get into friggin berkley? wtf.

  • Most people can get into Berklee if they know what drums are.

  • I really doubt that brother!

  • no hes right its very easy....its now a lot harder thought the accptance rate used to be 70% its 30 or below now...but if you cant get in just give up

  • hes playing melodies, he just has less to work with (although in some ways he has more things to work with). think of it that way.

  • no need 2 b a fan/'judges'..watch,learn,improvise n some appreciation would b fine people

  • I find it hard to gauge the performance of a drummer when he is soloing. Unlike guitarists/basists where you can tell they are really kicking butt on a solo. I guess its because I have never really been a fan of drum solos.

  • it depends from drummer. some are much better at playing musically with the song than in solos, some are amazing soloists and can't tone it down to play music for their life, and some are good at both.

  • great solo brother! nice chops.

  • lol!

  • Very nice... Thanks for posting!

  • pretty cool. good job man

  • jgm1234567 just proved a few things. That few people, of course him not included, can actually make a living for themselves playing music. It's a tough road, but if everyone thought the way this guy thought, there might not be such a thing as a car. No such thing as music, art in general would not even exist. Materialism is what made his father squander away the money, not music. Real music comes from the soul. It's not about the gear, it's what you can do with it.

  • Hey Raasto SSSSSHHHHHHHHHHUUUUUUUUUTUUUUUUPPPPP!!!!!!!!

  • i love u mr.uber drummer!!!!

  • Hey man your truly an insperation, Ive picked up a few Ideas from this solo that Im gonna try with my rehearsal. I think your a gifted player dude

  • Jesus Mary mother of God!!!

  • NIIIIIIIICCCCEEEEEE!!!!!! awesome...!!!!!

  • WOOOOT

  • Dude, that was truly impressive. Kudos!

  • awesome..!!!!

  • that was pretty sick

  • ZOWWIEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fantastic!

  • For even more ripping drum solos

Check out / Type in "phil diana drum solo" for some awesome live improvised solos.

this guy is explosive and on the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He's very "old school" in the way he approaches a kit. Don't get me wromg, he's got good technique, but he didn't display any dynamics and he uses mostly his hands leaving the bottom end of the kit out. Sometimes, when you play live, you play off of the feeling in the room and your musicianship gets away from you. Maybe that's all it is.

  • Well, think of all the drummers are there who are mostly using their feet to hide their hand chops. To me, this is superior, even though I don't think this guy is particularly amazing. It's much easier to learn some double kicks licks to mask weak hands than it is to get your rudimental control up to even this level.

  • very true. but you must also look at your fee as an extension of what you can do with your hand, i agree with you but i dont think double kick licks are trying to mask inferior rudiments.

  • your really good

  • style

  • Awesome man, Nice Energy!!

  • His drumming to me reminds me of like some factory with a bunch of gears and stuff just gone nuts...Just thinking abstractly... :P

    like it tho..

  • I really enjoyed that. It gave me a few ideas too. THANKS!

  • granted this guy spent at least 25,000$ AT LEAST!! on his ''drum ''; education at berklee. Not that he isnt good. He is good. 25,000 at least in the hol though.. personally Id rather get a new car with all that money.

  • Well dude, its called passion and a wanting to improve.

  • heheheh.... so this "mike jizzle" (awesome name) spends 25 grand on a new car... instead of an education. be sure to wave at mr walker adams when he passes you in his 50,000 dollar car he bought after graduating berklee and started playing drums for a living.

  • haha 50,00 car as a musician.. soorry buddy.. keep dreaming.. more like a used volvo paying back up to 100,000 in loans pal...i think your thinking of Linkin park or something...haha

  • Who gives a shit about cars? Music is life dude... money is no object. Get a clue

  • tell that to your family when youre playing your brand new set of drums and they come in, showing you their ribs and asking for food. money is life on this planet.

  • Way to go to extremes to prove a ridiculous point. :p

  • sometimes thats what it takes

  • to prove a stupid point? I guess so

  • telling someone to "get a clue" is equally as durastic as my 'point'. but the point only seems stupid to an idiot.

  • I want you to show me an example where a family starved to death because someone spent all their money on drum lessons... lol wtf...

  • your talkin to one. my dad squandered alot of money away in instruments and studio equipment. and hes really good, but he never became anybody but a truck driver. but we were hungry until mom left him and got a different husband to support us. however, my dad is not the same young dumb idiot he was then.

  • Pity u cant understand the essence of a dream.

  • if you wanna live in a dream, live in it. but i choose reality. cause I happen to understand that if you take care of responsibilities in the real world, you can live up to those goals you have in your dream world....why does this have to be so hard for you to get? and why do you keep talking to me about this. get over it, im right, youre wrong, and your comment deserved a verbal slap in the face. there...i solved this whole thing. now go watch some other videos on here. theres lots of cool ones

  • that says it all, mr knowitall.

  • "if you wanna live in a dream, live in it. but i choose reality. cause I happen to understand that if you take care of responsibilities in the real world, you can live up to those goals you have in your dream world...." This is a frase I didn't quite get. Well, I'm not arguing with you however. I just don't really get why got so hostile towards this other person.

  • Okay, well you sound traumatized and I don't wonder at all. Maybe your father shouldn't have gotten a family ever.. ever wondered that? Or maybe your mother shouldn't have gotten kids with him in the first place? It's gone I know. But people have different values and your comments come off as you disaprove anyone trying to make best of their passion. Not everyone wants to spend their money having a family and put their kids to school, working for raise and waiting for retirement..

  • ..All I mean to say that some people are willing to be single and pursue their career and interests instead of a realtionship. I don't belittle your hardship here though.. It sucks when a persons doesn't realize that to achieve something you also have to give up something.

  • Hmm.. actually I know people who invest getting a nice sporty looking car that doesn't have enough room for their family or to use it as a means to transport anything recuired for work or hobbies. One is relative of mine and he buys stuff totally impractical stuff to look cool rather than anything that improves his family's life. I think it's realtive wheter it's money into a hole.

  • Five stars from me.

  • He's a drumming Machine!!!=:)

  • You just cant stop this guy

  • Someone's been watching Danny Serraphine - Nice one mate!

  • Very cool style. Good job dude!

  • creative...

  • not really but it's cool anyway

  • good job !!!.but i dont know if this kind of solo is apropiatte for the music that followed , .

  • Visit the music channel of the funk-rock band ,,the crossroads'' now!

    Just klick below!

    Thanks

  • very nice

  • great job. a few of those missed snare hits during the beginning (where you hit the rim) kind of annoyed me tho. other than that, well played and enjoyable

  • Those were meant to hit the rim.

  • ... rim shots

  • eh hes okay but could probably learn a lesson or 4 from travis barker

  • Travis Barker could use some lessons from Stewart Copeland. Ha!

  • travis barker doesnt need lessons he is the one that makes them

  • Travis barker is the most over rated drummer of our generation period... listen to real music before you make ignorant comments like that.

  • Overrated perhaps but certainly not bad.

  • agreed

  • i agree too

  • being a man meaning...?

    ...Death metal or something?

This guys good and for drumming u have to listen to most kinds of music.

  • What suck shit! lern to be a man
