  • you are a god . haha. the first part is very difficult to play! . how long have you been playing?

  • @mattlikestea My friend I am not a god but only a hard work fellow...

I have been playing for 25 years aprox.

But if any person have the proper guidance and passion for this he can play great.

If you really want to get in the way,you must watch the following 2 videos:

  • thank you very much

  • Awesome lesson I'm struggling a lot though on the cordination of my fingers and the speed is superb I wish to achieve that speed but it aint easy!

  • @AtWarWithGod Yes friend it will be easy if you follow the proper technique, Ideally one should work under personal supervision (through Skype) if you aspire to really good at it, also I gave some advise about practicing here:

    watch?v=zXwvjdB9P4Y&feature=channel_video_title

    watch?v=vzr5u4Pri14&feature=related

  • @rdiazflamencojazz

Makes sense. On average how long do you think it takes most to achieve crazy speed?

  • @AtWarWithGod If you follow the study program on Skype lessons it may take 8 weeks.

(but proper personal supervision is needed, also because the way to learn and practice this rasgueos has to be customize specially for you , and adapted for your capacity)

    please watch also this video

  • @rdiazflamencojazz that was quite awesome, thanks a lot, exactly what i was looking for.

  • Wow. thanks for that detailed lesson! How do you achieve speed on that? My fingers gets tired and have cramps easily even after just 10 mins :(

  • @stevenlee9108 Ideally you can follow the CFG study program and succeed.

  • Best lesson i have seen in a while!

  • @fredddyoh Thanks friend Freddy.

    Do you play Spanish guitar?

I can show you personally in Skype how to practice this to achieve speed and sharpens.

Just write me an email to

    info@rdiaz.org

    Happy new year!

  • can you tell me when you use this rasgueos. I mean when you use the first one and when the third?r

  • @joesdeskater Sure my friend for ex. 1st and 2th rasgueo can be used in different styles like Seguirilla here:

    watch?v=AkBJUMEdgPg&feature=channel_video_title

Then 3th,4th,5th etc here are all combined

    watch?v=JxRgM1Ex2YA&feature=channel_video_title

All this things are to be learned as tools and how to use them is part of the learning process.

Now I would like to know:

What is your personal experience with rasgueos?

How would you like to use them?

  • Anyone got a practice routine for this kind of thing?

  • @arronmetallica Of course ideally you follow the assessment and the CFG study program suitable for your level as shown here:

    watch?v=F65P1BAV3hs

  • @rdiazflamencojazz Thanks, good lessons btw, very well explained :)

  • thank you so much this is one of the most informative vidz. on YT.

  • @saintsunset7418 Teaching is an art and it requires to be sure regarding which is the best technique to present and the best way for the student to assimilate it.

In Skype I have a study program online that can be what you are really searching

    to attain exellence in playing.

As an example, here are some of my students playing on spanish TV

this summer, great results you can get only through following the proper study program enthusiastically.

  • thank you so much! great lesson!

  • Tienes que pegar el pulgar de la tapa de la guitarra necesariamente? Mis dedos no son muy largos y como que me quedan corto si pego el pulgar.

  • @sanchit2551 You can be part of CFG as a student and learn anything you like thats explained it all here

    watch?v=QAOqQ_HhuXs&feature=channel_video_title

  • @sanchit2551 I understand what you say, but to play anything properly either romantic or not one has to have a good technique in guitar I mean general technique, and that's what you need to achieve.

  • thankyou man .....great ...very challenging... and great teaching ,,,and holy smokes!! ya really speed up there ...peace ...Rob

  • @rrrrockin Just write me an e-mail to ( info@rdiaz.org ) we do an appointment and, I will gladly show you how the system I created to teach & learn through Skype works out exactly same way like the lessons one on one, because I have PDFs, support additional videos (from my private channel) and it is a very innovative use of technology that fulfills all personalized areas for all levels of students.

  • Ecept for thhe first, all the rest is what? Can not understand whaz you've said.

  • @Metalnerm From the 3th to the 6th its an innovation of Paco de Lucia and 1st and 2nd existed before Paco, thats what I said.

  • @rdiazflamencojazz gracias no es problemas para mi en ingles - puedo entender mejor en ingles . pero es bien videos - gracias..: )

  • Thank you so much for revealing these techniques Ruben, as a beginner, would you recommend practicing just as your done say 30-60 mins per day? or?

  • @DC180 (Answer 1)

You can try to practice this for 24 minutes a day. (all 6 rasgueos)

However the science of how to practice this art should be learned personally,

from & supervised by an expert teacher because really speaking,

there is no way to compare the advancement you can make under proper guidance, as opposed to just follow instead the: “Do it yourself ” philosophy on this regard.

  • @DC180 (Answer 2)

(Indeed the “Do it yourself ” philosophy at least on flamenco guitar it never works to be sincere, unless you aspire for a completely superficial level of proficiency…)

In fact all of my videos are intended only {secondarily}to make available a general idea about an specific subject to the public in general and, {primarily} are explicitly meant to serve as an additional support

for the lessons that I give to my students,

(either though web-cam lessons or personally)

  • @DC180 (Answer 3)

This videos are never meant to do away with the important role of the teacher,

hence in the flamenco guitar its not possible to really explore your potential through

the “Do it yourself” method… this cryptic knowledge has to be conveyed personally

to be real… to be authentically played.

    Regards.

  • @rdiazflamencojazz Sadly I cannot afford a teacher, I fear I am doomed to never play flamenco. I play like an idiot.

  • @curzmg Thats why there are grants

check the Grants at CFG they give lessons and benefits to people.

    Regards

    and dont be discouraged

    Ruben

  • Thank you Ruben

    John Ramirez

  • @EllasPapa

Dear John you play very good too!

    all the best!

  • Friends still: ALL GRANTS ARE AVAILABLE,Grants I,II,y VI (1,2, y6)

are all open until May 10,2011.and grants III,IV,V,(3,4,y5) are open until Nov 19,2010.

/Please read at the description of every video grant, there are all requirements including details like dates etc.

    Good Luck!

  • Which strings should use? (a person asked me)

Answer: Depends on which guitar you have specifically, I have many guitars and therefore I use different tensions and brands (even for certain songs or recordings)

Means, it’s a rather complex thing, if the guitar is male or female, soft or hard in its nature…if its an old instrument or new…you see all this aspects are the to be regarded, otherwise we remain at a very very superficial level of understanding about strings. *

  • awesome, absolutely awesome..where was this in the 60's when i picked up the guitar...

  • @EarlyMate You are invited to participate in CFGs study program for any of the 3 main subjects you are interested.

    Namely: 1) Technique. 2) Repertoire. 3) Rhythmic.
