While a D200 has more features aimed at the semi-pro userbase, the D3100 uses the latest generation image sensor and processor and so has been found to take better quality pics than the D200

@tperson787 second that. D200 has a completely different set of controls. That should really be your major consideration. Good pics will be good and bad pics will be bad it just depends on whether you want to control them completely or not.

To be able to shoot at 5fps you also need to set d4 to 4fps i thing

Set the mode dial to CH, and you will be able to shoot at 5FPS.
