  • Well Done

  • The Mayday 2010 Video (Part 4) Shows the Recovery Team working during the day giving demonstartion of Vehicle Recovery. We have never done them after the stage incident, because most members of the public have had enough by then.

  • I see heavy recovery trucks. Did the recovery operators demonstrate recovery afterwards?

  • that little car managed to push over that tanker! Amazing D:

  • @Hartsock91 Looks like the tanker rolled and the car was unable to stop in time.

  • If that was my fire department in America then the F.D. would be in complete control and the police would sit back and shut up and we would have multiple engines 3 rescue trucks and EMS would bring ambulances and their rescue truck.

  • Are you working in a emergency service?

  • Hi brother needs to chat a, Asian women busizz4me.info

  • Is the ford galaxy Armed Responce??

  • that commentator sounds bored lol

  • If that was a real incident would the fire engine be that close to the tanker

  • It would greatly depend on the circumstances and what room was available of course, however in this case the main consideration was to give a clear view to the public as events unfolded.

  • @bmwnasher What do you think?

  • that tanker isnt gunna be ontime anymore. lol

  • which fire station is that?

  • It is the one in Walton. This year it will be the Cobham lads but Some of the Walton guys are attending.

  • @andysvideo thanks, i thought it looked like camberley a bit so i asked just to check

  • That was prettty c cool i am a member of st john ambulance but im only a cadet but i have been doing it for 2 years now so i noow what im talking about but dont you think i no its only a training show thing but would they of sent a rapid response car and a extr fire engine or is that just me.

  • Fire service- No rush lads!

  • I edited out the Cartwheel one of them did!

  • @andysvideo ha ha ha ha ha anychance of posting it lol

  • Looks Awsome I'm going to try and come this year (2010)

  • He Called me a female tech!!!!! Not Happy!!!! But was a good way to show my skills and involvement in st john woop woop!!!

  • now how about i right the comment on my log in!! but still not happy!!!

  • That was very good. I enjoyed watching that. Im a member of St John Ambulance.

  • those fire fighters should be shown the right way to use those step blocks, lifting the car up to put them will do damage to the person trapped

  • I stand by the actions of the Crew 100%. They only started to use the step bocks once the casualty's head was immobilised with a head hold from the Medic Assist.

Put in this way will result in the vehicle resting firmly ontop of the highest step and the bottom is firmly in contact with the ground along its entire length = maximum spread of total load. If inverted this is a total waste of time as the cross sectional area in contact with the car is minute.

  • Very good quality video, a bit sceptical of the use of St Johns for the demo, might give those attending the wrong impression of their skill level, otherwise excellent !

  • Some SJA ambulance crews are paramedics or doctors or nurses. Therefore they are very skilled in this.

  • When ambulance aid 2 is achieved thats a high level of A&E course, also a lot of us are NHS paramedics (in the UK) or even fully trained medical doctors, also some countries use us as their NHS equivalent. Sadly people who are misinformed stick by what they think they know and mislead others, which is why are reputation goes down.

  • Loved watching that ....I am Traing in St Johns Ambulance ..then later ...training as a Ambulance technicain. Im loveing the training so far .. .....brilliant !

  • quality video :D :D

  • Just an outstanding video, from the master!

    Well done.

  • cheers,im sure david will let us,plus that truck is being refurbed this year so it will be spotless next year

  • shame no vid of the ontime wrecker turning the trailor over,i spent 3 days cleaning the wrecker for this

  • Yes very sorry about that, we had to be up on the test hill for the more filming.

I agree it would have finished this segment off. I will promise DB, that if he lets you come again nest year, we will make sure we cover it (even if we have to do it after the event is over as we did with the fire engine).

  • Many thanks to all that took part in the making of the vids incuding Andy and paul for the filming.

  • paul did nothing just stood there then laughed at me

  • Geat vid but need to watch out for the wood worm, have had loads of calls from the BBC about not having them as actors, and Anne will be awarding the most wooden award later this year

  • great vid andy i wasnt scratchin me nuts on this vid.

  • I am good at Editing,, as you can see I even made Chris look good!

  • superb video!

  • the most fantastic emergency services video on youtube so far.

  • Wow! now thats what I call a complement.

    Thank you

  • Brilliant :)

  • Another great job Andy.

Spenc I know what you mean that OIC in the Station is seriously wooden...he is alot better at doing cartwheels I believe:)

  • The sad thing is he was too darn quick and I only got him half way through his cartwheel. Still I think the added footage does improve this clip.

Is Anne Ure awarding the Oscars late this year?

  • VERY VERY Well done. A great insight into how the system works.

How did you get so many crap actors in one spot though :-)

    Regards Spenc
