THERE IS A WRONG WAY AND A RIGHT WAY TO COME HERE. Criminal alien or not! you're breaking federal law by being in the country illegally therefore you WILL be deported. Except it!
Thank god that idiot turned himself in. One less person on welfare and taking money from our government that doesn't even belong here. They should all be deported and if they return, they should be thrown in jail for a long period of time. The US justice system doesn't give citizens a beak if they break the law, why should an illegal immigrant get any different treatment.
Nice arrest, I wish everyone would turn themselves in and volunteer to go home. It would make my wife feel better. My wife who waited in line and immigrated legally instead of cheating the system and lying to get ahead.
Commited "no Crime"; illegally entering the country is a crime isn't it? OH yes it is according to 8 U.S.C. 1325. Let's hope these criminals get what they deserve on the streets of Juarez when they are deported. MOJADOS!
I have nothing against illegals, for the most part they just want a slice of the "american dream". However there are laws and protocols set up for a reason. I am an immigrint myself. The difference between me an them is my parents went through the legal process to become citizens. If we all start letting all of the illegals with nothing into our country (most come with a backpack and water), guess who will pay for their social programs. Us, the citizens.
Wetback scum. You are just doing this because of our loser president. Wait until he is gone, you guys weren't pulling this shit when Bush was president.
In reality these people are breaking the law. The way this video is shot only proves the fact that the mentality of illegals is wrong. You feel you have a right to be here.... Why? Why do you feel you have a right to be in another country illegally? Not just the US, but Canada. Do I have the right to go to Mexico or South America Illegally and expect thier government to stand by me as an illegal? How self rightous are illegals? I am for Legal Immigration, you are not.
I have a great deal of respect for these young adults who faced immigration enforcement officials while being undocumented. It is a great way of demonstrating against a broken immigration system.
HOWEVER... I believe that they could have been better prepaid with thoughtful questions, remarks and comments that would have made a bigger impact.
They didn't stand up for anything. So they walked into the Border Patrol's own building and decided to be smart asses. What is that supposed to accomplish? My relative is the one in the blue shirt, they just took the guy's phone (the signal didn't drop) and had them sent off to get them out of their hair so they could do their job. They didn't get deported, they just got scared.
The office they went into had nothing to do with the new Alabama STATE law. They went into a Federal U.S. Border Patrol office located in the USBP's primary enforcement jurisdiction, (within 100 miles of the USA's boundary.) It's no different from if they were to do the same thing in San Diego, CA or El Paso, TX. If they wanted to make a statement and change federal or state law, they should have been talking to a U.S. Representative or State Legislator...not U.S. Federal Agents.
Inaccuracy: At 3:15, it says "...like them-immigrants who've committed no crimes." 08 USC 1325-27, US Federal Code makes it clear that entering the USA illegally is a federal criminal act. INA 212 & 237 make it clear that entering and staying in the USA illegally is a civil crime. An open confession to a crime is probable cause for arrest...no different from a person with active warrants going to a Police or Sheriff's Dept and telling that to an officer/deputy. They're going to be arrested.
i have to agree with some to other people comment stating that you are representing students who can not go further in life. You as an american university or college student, should have gone there asking solid questions with clear understandable English and stating facts and statistics. not acting like a low vocabulary banger. " so you think i should get deported" "cross the border" " long time ago" "that what yo u do" "so you all are deported people" " you all take them there right" "
@luisloks I agree. But I'm not sure if this kids are college students. However I can tell they have courage and big balls. If they are being deported they are exposing the lies of the Obama administration regarding to undocumented immigrants.
I support them and appreciate their bravery but I also don't think this is a good idea. Let people who are legal resident/citizens pull these kinds of actions. What did they expect would happen... that these clown devils would feel bad for them and let them go?
SOA Watch understands that many immigrants to the United States are victims of U.S.-sponsored military training and atrocities in Latin America. In our fight to end racist, xenophobic & anti-immigrant laws, and to close the School of the Americas and end U.S. militarization in the Americas, we continue to work towards a world that is free of suffering and violence. We recognize the SOA and the unjust immigration policies as being parts of the same racist system of violence and domination.
is this courage or being stupid we need people to be here in the U.S. not to be deported so why to do stupid actions that can get ourself deported. We need to crack the immigration system but remember this is there game and we need to play by their rules....Ser Unicos Es Nuestra Mejor Arma
WHOAH. After the second time I watched this video and heard the dialogue of the two people recording this event, I must say they are bone heads. They did not approach the agents in a formal way at all! I kind of don't feel any sympathy towards them even though I am undocumented as well.
Let me tell you what I see here, I see a couple of idiots with low life vocabulary, at least you could have spoken in a more formal and official manner, you are not speaking with the homies at your hood. But of course, what else can be expected, the world is your hood for you. It can easily be observed that you two come from an underdeserved background. There are real mexicans in Mexico who have a higher english vocabulary than you two pair of nutcases have.
Look at your own comment"What we essentially ALLOW to take place in latin america". It's time for you and your people to stop allowing it to happen. Defend you and your own and stop expecting someone else to do it for you.
Attrocities happen everywhere...do you think Latin America has a monopoly on rape and murder??? I have had a friend murdered. I have had a relative killed by a drunk driver. We fight those battles here in the U.S. Where can we run to to escape the cruel reality that life sometimes brings? Bad things happen where ever you live. You can decide to fight against it where ever you are from. I wish all humans could live equally with no crime, but that's not reality.
@duke875 I support your views, but remember that we are talking about undocumented YOUTH, not the general undocumented population. These undocented youth know NO other country BUT the United States of America because they have been living here ever since try can remember! Put yourself in their shoes, and walk around with them. How would it feel to be neglected by a country who has been helping you eve since kindergarten? Think about it.
@norbert010011 Norbert, I'm not cold hearted. I do feel for the youth; however the points I have been making are about the immigration problem in totality. There are so many other issues related to it then, "they are just hard working people trying to make a living". I support a guest worker program. Let's get these people out of the desert where they are being abused and dying from the elements. I support LEGAL immigration. I don't support disregard for the laws of the U.S.
@duke875 OK, but immigration rates have decreased drastically. Now the main issue is what do you want to do with the undocumented immigrant families that have been living in this country for 10, 15, 20 years?
This is a very courageous act, not everyone can just walk in and give himself away to ICE....but if one is going to do it why not walk in with deeper questions?
The U.S. is a nation of laws. Countries with weak laws have the problems seen in Mexico. Mexico is on the brink of being ruled by ruthless Narco organizations. I applaud President Calderon for his efforts in fighting the cartels. The Mexican people need to stand up and fight with him. Then they can enjoy the benefits of a country like the U.S., but in their own country. That's a cause I can stand behind.
There are people way worse off than those in central and south america. Is the U.S. responsible to care for the billions of poor people in the world. When does it stop? When does the U.S. say that's enough. We can't provide for everyone. There has to be some accountability somewhere. Don't run from your problems. Stay and change it.
Norbert, I do believe immigrants should prove themselves. If these two guys want to be real heroes, they would fight for their rights in their own countries of origin. My country did that already. They want skip the fight and reap the rewards of what my ancestors did. Where's their national pride? If it sucks where they live, then they need to fight to change it. We have impoverished people here in the U.S. Our systems are designed to help our own, not impoverished from elsewhere.
Stop holding Prezident Obama "for his lies" it doesn't matter who is president it matters who your congress is they are keeping him from keeping his promises. Wake up folks until we vote those people out and hold them accountable nothing
@duke875 I have been a law abiding "citizen" of this country. I want to serve and protect this country. Don't you think people like use deserve a chance to prove ourselves? Come on.
@duke875 Illegal immigrants DO NOT QUALIFY for medical, WIC, welfare or any other type of government aid! I am an undocumented student in college majoring in Electrical Engineering, and a worker during the weekends. I PAY FOR MY OWN EDUCATION. I file with the IRS! I have my own Tax Payer Identification Number which allows any undocumented person to pay taxes JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE! I was brought here LEGALLY when I was 14 months old, but my visa expired years ago.
to duke 875. i would like to see what you wold do if you were in those countries where the food is scarce, criminals are everywhere, worrying everyday if there is enough food, money, if you will get attacked by some stupid gangster. would you stay there and let your family suffer? I bet you wouldn't think about that. and FYI a lot of illegal immigrants do pay their taxes that is why they have Tax ID's. do your research.
Illegal aliens do get free medical, free education for their kids, WIC, wellfare, etc. Those programs are not dependent on your immigration status, but on where you live and your finacial status. Don't buy into the hype that illegals get no benefits while residing in America. Open your eyes to the truth. Tax payers pay for all of those programs. You can't get a valid social security card without being born here or being granted legal permanent residence. They don't file with the IRS.
@duke875 Free education is covered primarily by property taxes, we reside somewhere, so in some shape or form we pay for that, the so called medical treatment you are talking about is not really available to the extent that you insinuate, but hospitals will accept reasonable payment plans, welfare we do not qualify for those need to be a Permanent Resident, its a requirement. We are Tax Payers too, the only government document we can get is the ITIN which allows us to pay income taxes.
Brother, most illegals are paid under the table in cash (tax free). They get fake documents (social security cards, birth certs, drivers licences) that allow them to get around the laws that govern getting hired. I agree that children should not suffer because of their parents mistakes, but what is the alternative? They need to stay with their families when they get deported. Anchor babies are at least afforded U.S. Citizenship when born here.
Decision. That would be like your parents breaking the law and since you were present during the incident you were charged as well. Makes no sense man, really I see what your saying but learn a little more on the subject before making accusations like those. And I mean do your research not just watch cnn or fox
I see what your saying duke with you analogy but you see undocumented people do not qualify for those benefits and most of them do pay taxes. No one is exempt from that. If you acquire work even if your undocumented you get all those deductions taken off you check and you also get a tax form every year and are required to report your income. Now I can't believe you called these guys criminal the majority of dreamers were brought here before the age if 18 which means that they had no say in the
I am not saying that all immigrants should just stay in their country. I believe in entering our country the right way. Apply for admission, gain a legal status, get authorization to work (and pay taxes) so they can enjoy the benefits this country has to offer. If this illegal immigration problem continues to escalate, our medical, social security program, etc. will eventually be depleted. You can’t expect to take without contributing.
I’m not saying that all illegal aliens are violent criminals, but what they are doing is a crime that affects everyone in the United States. Not to mention the fact that there are many violent criminals who illegally enter the U.S. and commit heinous crimes all across the country.
They will not contribute to your household and expect you to pay for it all. They demand that it is their right that you do this for them because you have a better life in your house and they want it too. Would you allow someone to do this in your home?
Here’s an analogy that may shed light. What if someone decided that they wanted to come into your house and live because their house wasn’t as nice. Instead of asking you if they could come live with you, they entered your home through a window without your consent or knowledge (it’s considered breaking and entering as well as trespassing). Once inside, they then demanded that you provide care for them and their family (medical, free food, etc.).
These guys aren’t freedom fighters. They are criminals. The last time I checked it was illegal to enter the United States without proper vetting and documentation. Illegal immigration does harm the U.S. These people leach off of the benefits provided in the U.S. and don’t contribute to the system (a system that legal immigrants and U.S. Citizens pay for).
What else can you expect from a Pro-Abortion/Choice President such as Obama. LIES and more LIES. You don't need to go as far as Miami to find out that Regular people are getting deported, not just criminals!!! Families are being destroyed because of his inability to protect the Innocent Unborn children and Innocent Students who like anybody else just want to be Free and hard working people who come here to do the jobs that White Americans don't want to do. HIS CONCERN IS IN GETTING MORE VOTES!
PASS THE DREAM ACT.. BUT I still don't think undoc. People should risk it! I never herd of a doc. Person getting arrested for doing this things are they scared? I would rather me get arrested and be representing ! But undocumented are very strong!
As a active Obama volunteer supporter in the 2008 elections I am ashamed of the the Administrations position on Immigration Reform. The enforement policies of ICE and Safe Communities are an attempt to please the zenophobes and gain support for next years elections. This is a sell out from the moral authority positon that I thought Obama was behind
Dats crazy as hell. PASS the DREAM ACT!!!! Why are 2.1 million young americans being held back. why wasnt this act passed. How can you people sleep at night knowing you are destroying someones life. How can you call yourself even a human being, when you dont consider these people as equal as your own. Shame on the goverment, and shame on the empty promises of passing the Dream Act. Pass this law, if you consider yourself a man of God, then pass the Dream Act NOW!!!!
@DaInsan31 WE did not destroy their lives. quit being so melodramatic. Their parents brought them here illegally, and thats what caused their problems. BLAME YOUR PARENTS and stop looking for a handout. thats what got your family into this mess in the first place. Deport ALL undocumented.
@Greybush55 its not about a handout america is the primary reason many latin american countries are in their present condition. Do some research look at the IMF, Bretton Woods, hell Coca Cola and analyze the impact they have on these countries and how they cripple their economies. If you had an understanding of that you would not be so quick to judge others.
@Greybush55 well if you do truly understand and you dont care it makes you the worse type of person. One who willingly lives with the knowledge of atrocities and defends those who perpetrate those atrocities. That is inhumane and disgusting. How would you feel if someone raped and killed your mother and in knew about it could have prevented it and did nothing? Im sure you would not be happy about that. This is essentially what we are allowing to take place in latin america, and you defend it...
@johnllstephens Are you comparing being illegal to rapists and murderers? i think thats a little over the line. Yes it is a crime and yes they should be punished but it is not on that level. Most illegals will tell you it's an infraction, similar to a speeding ticket. Except when i go to court for MY speeding ticket, i know i will be home in a couple of hours. So, NO being illegal is nothing like a speeding ticket either. Its somewhere in the middle, but still a crime and should be punished.
LMBO - Im sure youre a very proud American arent you . deoport all undocumented ...imagine if the native american indians wanted to deport you?
you obviously dont know anything about anything - you see this is why we need more undocumented people in america , because shame to say, unlike us documented, they portrait themselves as better read.
You are a shame to all of us. stop giving us a bad name - i mean really does it hurt you that bad to give some space to the less fortunate.
@realsweetstuff I base my current views from the Native American perspective. If you let invaders come in, it will ultimately destroy you. Unfortunately, they let "the white man" in and were decimated.
Our economy cannot handle the influx of these criminals. most of whom could not arrive in this country LEGALLY of their own merits.

Would you allow someone to do this in your home?
duke875 3 months ago

People use "criminal" loosely. We are in no way criminals; an infant our child CANNOT break a law because they lack autonomy from their parents.

Greybush55 3 months ago
@Greybush55 its not about a handout america is the primary reason many latin american countries are in their present condition. Do some research look at the IMF, Bretton Woods, hell Coca Cola and analyze the impact they have on these countries and how they cripple their economies. If you had an understanding of that you would not be so quick to judge others.

@johnllstephens just because i don't care; doesn't mean i don't understand.
Greybush55 3 months ago
@Greybush55 well if you do truly understand and you dont care it makes you the worse type of person. One who willingly lives with the knowledge of atrocities and defends those who perpetrate those atrocities. That is inhumane and disgusting. How would you feel if someone raped and killed your mother and in knew about it could have prevented it and did nothing? Im sure you would not be happy about that. This is essentially what we are allowing to take place in latin america, and you defend it...
johnllstephens 3 months ago
@johnllstephens Are you comparing being illegal to rapists and murderers? i think thats a little over the line. Yes it is a crime and yes they should be punished but it is not on that level. Most illegals will tell you it's an infraction, similar to a speeding ticket. Except when i go to court for MY speeding ticket, i know i will be home in a couple of hours. So, NO being illegal is nothing like a speeding ticket either. Its somewhere in the middle, but still a crime and should be punished.

@Greybush55
You are a shame to all of us. stop giving us a bad name - i mean really does it hurt you that bad to give some space to the less fortunate.
realsweetstuff 3 months ago 4
@realsweetstuff I base my current views from the Native American perspective. If you let invaders come in, it will ultimately destroy you. Unfortunately, they let "the white man" in and were decimated.
Our economy cannot handle the influx of these criminals. most of whom could not arrive in this country LEGALLY of their own merits.
