  • At the time of her (by today's standards) comparitively early death, she was enjoying a successful comeback on Broadway as Bloody Mary in "South Pacific," succeeding Juanita Hall. I'll bet she was terrific.

  • Great Cole Porter song, delivered perfectly (I love Bordoni's very suggestive chuckle after "If you want to get home alive...") She was the toast of Broadway for a time but probably was best apreciated over the footlights- her movie career was brief.
