Wow, ironic it is that I find this only a few months later after hearing Bill Hicks' original comedy wrap-up bit. Those are words that will always stay with me, from the first time I heard them.
Very nice take on it, more serious than his at the "shut him up!" parts. Almost Pulp Fiction/Fear and Loathing in LV style. Good work!
Nice. way to use the bright eyes intro, that shits real man. Go feel the spiritual vortex, it will make life less of a ride and more like a real journey towards an actual goal.
Excellent vid dude, I credit the effort to get this out more than the finished product.
However, Bill says "when you get on the ride" and not "when you choose to".. The point here is quite significant as we don't choose to get on the ride we are already on it. The first step is self awareness and the realisation that this is just a ride. Then comes choice, between fear and love.
It is two months later and i restumble back onto this video and see my comment.. He does say "when you choose to" because we are one with god.. we are god... and up there with him we do choose to go on a ride... the ride being life...
Doesn't anyone read anymore. Fuck. Anyone who's seen Zeitgeist knows, anyone who knows Bill icks, anyone who takes three minutes to read the video's description can see this is a TRIBUTE, not and original.
me too. its not like i didn't post the quote on the description and site him as the source. not to mention say that he was the sole inspiration behind the video. not to mention all of these ----> pop up on the side.
the next lines of the monologue are: you know all the money we spend on defense each year? trillions of dollars. well instead, use that money to clothe, feed, and educate the poor of the world which it would pay for many times over, not one human excluded. and we can explore space, inner and outer, together forever, in peace.
i think you did a good job. it's great that more people are finding out about bill through youtube.
In 399 B.C. Socrates was accused of "impiety", of "neglect of the Gods whom the city worships and the practise of religious novelties" and of the "corruption of the young". He was forced to drink Hemlock. Jesus Christ was unique in a great many ways, right from the time and circumstances of His birth. His life was unlike any other human, even though He was also as human as any other. A good, great man killed.
"His "trial" by the religious and political authorities, by almost any legal standards, was also unprecedented because, of all of those involved, Jesus was the only innocent person there - and nearly everyone, from the members of the religious council, to the lynch mob that they had under their control, to the Roman governor who sentenced Christ to be horribly crucified, knew it." A good, great man killed.
Abraham Lincoln assassinated by John Wilkes Booth. John F. Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King and John Lennon. It's a disturbing pattern and I hope it does not continue as I have perceived greatness in Barack Obama.
I don't know if you're serious, probably not, but i don't know much about Bill Hicks actually, just came across this little monologue or whatever and liked it a lot. good to see ya around BV!
i am enjoying the ride....the little king was just dancing to some jazz tune...and jumping around the room...he was having fun...now he is headed off to bed...and i am just youtubing with all my subscriptions...just like last night and the nights before...I gotta a ticket to ride...
Well, sean...what can i say...just that this fits perfectly for me this week, I had a crappy week but well I read something really interesting "Obstacles are what you see when you take your eyes off your goals" and one of them is to enjoy this ride :D
BTW I think this should get Featured, already favorited, rated and now commented.
The problem is most people are too comfortable on the ride. They are scared of change. Hey, I do not know what to expect if we change the ride. What know happen to my 401K if we illegalized drugs? What kind of world would we have if the criminal elite were bought to justice? Who would take the tickets to get on the new ride?
All this is just frightening. I have too much invested in the current ride. Now, you just want me to give it UP! The fuck is wrong with you.
Personally, the ride is fucked up. I am sick of the colors and noise. The new ride sounds like a challenge. However, I am ready to change the ride. The owners of the current ride are going to put us through hell before we can get the new ride. Wake up people it is time to activate!
it's up to everyone to change their ride on a personal level. Once we do that, there isn't much "they" are going to be able to do about it i don't think, but get out of our way.
The problem I see with this strategy is million different people going in a million different directions. We the people need to decide what kind of ride we want as a country/world. We Must Unite To Get What We Want!
i think you are right up to a point. not much is going to change if I'm the only one that wants to wake up and make a change. but there is no way you're going to get the whole world to "come together" and "unite." Isn't that kind of what the globalists want anyway - one world government? what people need to start doing is realizing that a lot of their daily lives are based around fear that is only an illusion.
I agree the world will not unite. I was talking about citizens in the USA. We are in the best position to stop the coming NWO. Since it is our military that is being used to force smaller defenseless nations into the NWO system. I can only see us doing so by coming together and organizing our efforts.
okay, i can dig. Freedom is a powerful message. unfortunately, most people in america don't know their history well enough to know that what we fought for in our revolution (mainly our revolution was about central banking being bullshit) is exactly the same system we have today. We need a new revolution, and i'm not even a radical guy, i just think we really do.
People believe the history they were taught in school. Most of which was a spin job not to indict the elite who run the central banking system and finance both sides of every war.

Fifty years ago on January 30, 1948, India's "Father of the Nation", Mahatma Gandhi, was assassinated.
Gandhi, one of the world's most famous pacifists, was killed by a fellow Hindu. A good, great man killed.

1) Big Oil is the biggest criminal. The technologies are available to get off fossil fuels. We must unite around this cause.
2) Get rid of the FED and the international bankers from controlling our money supply.
3) Restore the constitution and insist our leaders follow its mandate.
4) Get money out of politics. Public financed elections.
If we can unite around these and other important causes we can have a ride that the whole world can enjoy. Not just the selected few.
911truthnc 4 years ago
wrong my friend. see my video "awake!"
zzz33333 4 years ago
BULLSHIT. theres no way 6 billion people can unite. i fight with my parents daily. unity is not the answer.

yea i'm gonna change my ride and over there you change your ride and then we can both have our own rides which are custom tuned to us
