Megadeth will always be more passionate and interesting than Metallica in my opinion. I just feel that Dave really connects with listener in a way Metallica doesn't. Sure, Master of Puppets was a great album and so was Ride the Lightning, but Peace Sells and Rust in Peace and Endgame and SFSGSW and KIMBABIG will always be better than any Metallica album.

RIP was more developed and technical but damnit Peace Sells was way more visceral and intellegent. And as someone also point out, RIP is somehwhat overproduced and has some overly cheesy moments lyrically on it that Peace Sells does not. Peace Sells was Dave and Megadeth at their meanest and most fierce. They were a deadly animal at the time.

Risk was not that type of album, albeit not one of their better ones it produced great songs like The Doctor's Calling, Crush 'Em, Time: The End, and so on.

If you can notice, every single Megadeth album has a completely different overall sound and feel to it, than all the other albums. Being able to stay true to what you set out to do(Play Heavy Metal), and making every album sound different than the last, is an art-form. Dave Mustaine basically has that concept down to a science. If Dave didn't want to release Risk, than he wouldn't have. It's that simple...

Slayer absolutely does not suck and they belong as one of the Big 4.
