Really...does boxing have to give Marquez 3 (let me say that THREE) chances for the guy to prove he's as good or just a tad bit better than the champion? This wasnt even a rubber match to start with.
Both conneceted good punches, the desicion was very close, there was many money in the table its Vegas, Marquez should have risked more in the last rounds. I would give the fight to Marquez but boxing definitely has been sold to marketing.
the punches must've been too fast for a lot of you to see. if all you saw was the slower guy connecting. lmao! i recommend: search for an HBO torrent, download it, then play it in slow motion and use the HBO statistics to help figure out what you didn't see. :-)
chasing does get you in the judges good cards and if the fight looks even then the judges are more likely to give the win to the chaser rather than the counter.
1 thing I dont agree with though is that steroids wont show up in a pee test. Cause frankly, they do. it just has to be within a few months of taking them. A blood test can go back half a year. I feel like if pacquiao took the standard tests set up for athletes & passed, then if he doped prior to that would be irrelevant cuz his gains from doping would have substantially decreased since then. So idk.. All I do know is with pacquiaos lack luster performance mayweather is runnin outta excuses.

Chasing does affect the score. Just saying. Look at the Cotto vs Margarito. Clearly Cotto had all the accuracy over Margaritos aggressiveness but still they scored the fight pretty evenly. The first half had Cotto effectively blocking and dodging. Chasing does matter.

I dislike him and would prefer Manny to win but looking on how much difficulty Manny had with catching Marquez in their third fight and knowing Mayweather is 10x better at counter punching then Marquez... things don't look so good for Manny. Pac vs Marquez is a bit different, because Manny charges in dishing punishment while getting countered. All three fights were close but the knock downs in the first 2 fight were the differences maker. I've only seen the 3 fight once, but it looks like Manny did enough to retain the belt.

After watching the fight, critics has been intense on pacquiao's side 'cause of
disputable decision given by the judges. If you watch the fight closely, and I have,
pacquiao has slight advantage over marquez although the fight was very close .
Mazquez being the challenger didn't not challenge pacquiao, instead pacquiao
was the one chasing him. Marquez did land a couple of good shots, but you could also see the traces of pacquiao's on marquez face.

@xosyer There is some truth to what you're saying but you're forgetting Floyd does the hitting when he's being chase, and most of his opponent tend to miss. Pac vs Marquez is a bit different, because Manny charges in dishing punishment while getting countered. All three fights were close but the knock downs in the first 2 fight were the differences maker. I've only seen the 3 fight once, but it looks like Manny did enough to retain the belt.

@xosyer That's actually VERY INACCURATE. First of all, the fight was given to Pacquiao according to the judges 2 favored Pacquiao by 4 ROUNDS, the other saw it as a draw. SO THAT MEANS the closest THING Marquez has ever gotten close to IS WINNING A DRAW. His punch output the 3rd fight was MUCH LOWER THAN Pacquiao 600 punches to Marquezs 500. ON TOP OF THAT, he landed less punches than Pacquiao.
SO THAT MEANS Pacquiao was MORE AGRESSIVE AND he LANDED MORE.

Pacquiao has knocked marquez down 4 times to Marquez's ZERO TIMES.
