@neerajmadhavan Well most muslims, just consider their translation of the Quran to be the best. I'd read 7 different English translations and 2 different urdu ones.

Some verses differed completely from their original Arabic versions.

Another thing the Arabic qurans are guilty of is placing a forced translation in some passages. For example I read a verse which stated "Allah placed a curse on some people (the jews)"

If you read the arabic version Jew isn't there, why put it there in English?

I am an Indian, and a Hindu, but it is really heartwarming to see such wonderful intellectuals and their thoughts across the border. I appeal to the educated youth of Pakistan that they should try to create public opinion to support this man and his ideas, and cut lunatics like Zaid Hamid to size. This man is a visionary. A lot of things hasan nisar says are correct but his tone is not of a reformer but any enemy. Allama Iqbal said a lot of these things but there were two key differences: One, Iqbal pointed out our shortcomings but never preached despondency. Second, he never compared us with the others for the sake of humiliation.

Hasan Nisar should read a series of articles in Hindustan Times named "war dispatches". It confirmed that India lost 95 aircraft in the 1965 war and they claim to have shot down 37 Pakistani aircrafts. The series was run about 8 years ago.
