So how do I intern at junglecity? I'd love to produce there man, one of the most beautiful places on this planet... I'd live in that place lol, find a corner to sleep in bahaahahah!
As an audio student.. I appreciate this show sooo much. Many of the school instructors forget to give us the type of vital info on a psychological level that we need.
Another great show! I get inspired by every episode! Thanks, Dave, Herb & Drew! Would love to study under Ann in the studio. Maybe if I sit in front of Jungle Studios like Caine in Kung Fu for a few days, she'll let me in and train me in the art of tracking. Lol.
I'm trying to watch this episode on Youtube on Xbox. But it doesn't come up. Do you have content restrictions on it. I'd really like to see Dave in my living room.
@joshspoon so to easily get to it cause the search on the Youtube for xbox sucks. I'm making a personal playlist of the new show and it shows in my home page for the Youtube for xbox. Problem solved for now.
Great episode guys!!! I must say that Ann is another reason why I love Alicia's music. I live in NYC and will love to visit Ann's studio for a tour and would love to meet her.
Hey guys love the show, Ann is great. I learn so much on this show and it helps me out a lot when applying it to my sessions. I just started work with a live band on the road and looking forward to more episodes! Thanks Dave
oh yea, before I write i have a tone of voice which is not absolute, before i record it or when i warm up, I sing/rap in a chromatic tuner so i can memorize the pitch, it helps after the 30th take and I forget my ways. :P
u guys always entertain :) i know u also take comments from your viewers to heart, im hoping you get to read mine. It seems that Dave takes about 10 minutes in the beginning talking about the guest, introducing the guest, complementing the guest. I feel this technique can be removed from the show as we, the viewers are capable of looking up and learning about the guest in our own time. It would, in my opinion, be time better spend letting the guest talk more.
@TheLabWeMakeRecords just a thought...sometimes it's necessary to make guests feel comfortable and appreciated. you want to acknowledge that someone took time out to come through to the studio as well. in that sense, for us it might seem like wasting time, but perhaps it's a good intro for the guest him or herself. that might also be why some are so willing to share and eager to return...
i guess the guest convenience would be best achieved by introducing him/her right from the start of the show rather than after making them sit out of sight of the camera like a dummy or a poor cousin waiting for their turn to be paid attention to
well, maybe they're told about the format of the show and totally understand and accept what's going on, from the viewer's perspective though it looks just as i described
Im an engineer and I understand everything they are saying!! I've engineered many projects from majors to Indie and people are always with the wow factor!!!
Amen! There's a local program where I live that churns out "engineers". By the time they graduate they know every shortcut in ProTools but couldn't mic a guitar amp with an SM57 to save their life. Blasphemy!
This is a great episode, I will be visiting Ann's Jungle City Studio next week and I'm looking forward to it!!!!
