My phone doesn't have an IMEI number. It's like MEID or something. Also, it's a Sprint phone so there is no SIM card.

And if I do find a way to unlock it, will it work for my circumstance?

I bought a phone from a friend and it's locked because he didn't pay the last couple months of the phone bill. And he doesn't have $600 to pay it to unlock it.
