Hey mate, just a small problem. When testing a fan it is ideal to stand it up so it can intake air.

Otherwise you are giving incorrect sound levels at the fan can not intake air, therefore not produce any noise. The majority of fan noise is produced by the air moving through the fan not by the fan itself! So stand the fan up next time and you will hear an increase in sound.
