The camera angles aren't as bad if you keep your sanity meter topped up. They'll still be restricted to multiple angles, but when your sanity stays high they won't be tilted to one side

If you like this game, try amniesa. SO FREAKING SCARY!!! You can see your sanity draining as the music gets louder the dead body flies close and the room gets slowly covered with the SHADOW of death!!! Seriously, just search for the reactions of amniesa and I garuntee many many nightmares!?!?!

Honestly, Eternal Darkness is one of the best games ever made, it's a shame more people don't know about it.

I remember playing this game late at night. Sleep deprived and exhausted from the game messing with you. I haven't saved in all long time and worried bout losing a lot of progress. Went to save and all of a sudden it said deleting. Completely shocked and pissed off from my mistake. Then all of a sudden I realized it was just a hallucination. got so mad about that I rage quit. to my demise i forgot to save it from my rage quit. Oh ED I love you and hate you at the same time,

A rare find in my area and all these years later, as the GC wasn't..well..let's just say not many had one or left them by the roadside). A simply amazing game, one of my all-time favorites.

Eternal Darkness is a great game, back when it came out (2003 i think), it was also a little spooky. It gave me those same chills and scares the Resident Evil did. This is a very underrated and fun game. Many ppl never played it because it was a Gamecube exclusive, if u haven't played it please do u won't regret it. If my Gamecube wasn't broke I would still play those few great games it had (RE4, SM Sunshine, this, Paper Mario THD, Metroid, Viewtiful Joe, etc.)

@WildNaru7 No, but one can get you close. Sometimes you'll walk into a room and there will be a lot of zombies, but some of them will be fakes that disintegrate upon being attacked, meaning they take your sanity and you can't finish them off to get it back.

Before Dead Space took the crown back in '08, I'd say that the Resident Evil 1 Remake for GC was the reigning king of horror games, with Eternal Darkness being a really close 2nd. I suppose you could fit RE4 in there too, but it feels like more of an action game to me as supposed to horror. Anyway, give yourself a pat on the back if you were smart enough to keep your GC and still have ED for it.

I remember when I played through this game and a screen came up saying my memory had been deleted and there was an error. It said to turn off the Gamecube and I was about to, and then all of a sudden the screen came back to the game with the girl screaming. LOL, then I tried to flick a spider off my tv screen in the dark and I realized it was part of the game making you think there was a spider there. This is one of the best horror games ever.

The is 100% backwards compatible with all gamecube games. Only lan and online gamecube game functions do not work. So PS3 with it's shitty bc can suck it.

Silicon Knights really should make a sequel to this game or at least make a current gen remake. And as blasphemous as it may sound, they should make it multi-platform, with different sanity effects exclusive to each version.

I'd love to see an Xbox 360 version have sanity effects like fake unlocked achievements or even a fake Red Ring of Death.

The sanity effects are great, but the women screaming and the babies gets so annoying after a while. I mean in the dark it definetly screws with you a little bit, but when you grow accustomed to the freakishness of this game, it gets repetitive. I love this game, I really wish a sequel would be made for the newer gen consoles. Imagine this on a blueray disc or something.. 40+ gigs of sanity effects and the uniqueness of the game

@TheGuitarFreak1 i own the game and have played it a few times now and the sanity effects change one moment you will walk along and your body will fall apart like shows in the video or a fly will land on the screen and looks real and when you go to wipe it away more flys swarm the screen. your volume on the tv will go up and down there are many more it is a great game.

I love this game.I had that game about 5 years ago.And I accidently got rid of it with my gamecube system.And now 5 years later today,I remember that game,and how much fun I had playing it . And I wanted to play it again,and so I bought it off of EBAY for $23 a couple days ago .But right now I'm saving up enough money to buy a gamecube.And so I can play the game again on the gamecube.This is the best game ever.And this game works best if you play it on gamecube than Wii.
