SL Navy in the captured the LTTP Pea Tiger leader Soosai's family whie they were trying to escape with a large amount of cash and gold.

His wife, son, daughter, sister-in-law, her son, and twelve civilians were on a small boat attempting to escape when the navy captured them.

they have found Rs. 575,000 in cash, 2.5 kilograms of gold and five gold biscuits in the possession of Sea Tiger leader's wife.
