  • man this is my favourite food. My mother makes it awesome. But I am missing her and her cooking by being away!

  • whats this food ? will it be tasty ???? looks one side is not roasted ?

  • we call this thapilentu in rayala seema meaning same as sarawa pindi. we also make this with jonna (jowar) flour or millet flour. in addition to the said ingredients we also put generous quantity of jeera/cumin seeds. nicely roasted thapilentu tastes awesome. and if you can have it with a little butter and onion chutney..trust me its simply superb. my grandma's fav snack too, passed down the generations. thanks vahchef for sharing this traditional recipe with all of us.

  • It has always been my fav dish. Yesterday, I made it deliciously successful. When I went to Lion Food center (Asian), I found some kinda grated vegetable, looked like it belongs to Dosakaya family, so I decided to make use of it. So half of the flour I mixed it with that, it turned out to be very very very good. I remember, my mom used to use grated anapakaya with this. Thanks Chef. U r d man.

  • am away from home!! and chef makes me miss home even more!!!! sarva pindi looks delicious!!!!

  • I tried it yesterday and it turned out really good, and my children loved it, too! I've passed on the recipe to a celiac friend!

  • @Indeependance hi, can you tell me where i can find rice flour online?

  • It is a big lie. It is a dish belonging to people of 1 or 2 districts in Telangana Region. None of the dishes in Andhra Pradesh belong to the whole region. To spread the Telangana sentiment across people of all the districts of Telangana, their leaders(cheaters) and sentiment-founders (cheaters, jealous educationalists, industrialits) have deliberately created concocted media stories.

  • yummy....this looks so easy & delicious!!

  • by the way guys u dont want to switch the flame on and then try to spread it :-( ...i know i was enough foolish ;-) but i guess this is the only chef's recipe which has a lil lesser amount of oil when compared to the other recipes of the same kind .....

  • Ya..This is very famous dish in telangana...In the video, sarva pindi was heated to black in the backside..instead if we cook that on a low heat, then bottom of sarva pindi will become brownish red...that tastes awesome..we can take this with curd or ghee also...
