I was surprised by how many German people seemed to know all about the election and who the candidates were. Most of them had the election correctly picked out ahead of time.

I cant say I was fond of either canidates. And well seemingly Obama has been bringing the country into a worse condition. I feel McCain would have been doing better, but not too much better. All in all fascinating video, I enjoy the german language.

These videos are a great way to learn German because they are real life exchanges in the German language. Most Americans know that Germans (like most Americans) were overwhelmingly in favor of Obama at the time leading into the election. Thus far, I'd say the support has been well-earned by Mr. Obama.

I as a German can assure you that the overall political opinion in Germany is liberal compared to the one in the US. Even the voters of conservative parties in Germany would go for Obama, simply because Bush's legislature was not perceived as world friendly, but rather ancient. Bush and his fellow republicans seem like a world police as well as somewhat anti-social to Germans.

Many Americans seem to have this distorted idea of what socialism is, in fact, Obama is only adopting a couple of policies used in Europe. European countries are constantly ranked higher in healthcare, education, standards of living and safety, and yet the very idea of Obama moving in a progressive direction is enough to label him a socialist. US media really hits it hard with the scare tactics.

it's not the ear, it is like your mouth has grown and it is how much your brain will support it. You will alway have a strong accent. The only way is to make it a pleasant accent.
