New Sensor Measures Chemical Levels in the Brain-Mayo Clinic

Thanks to the efforts of these brilliant men and women, as well as the close collaborative structure that they have set up between researchers and engineers, we are being taken into the next phase of medicine. Soon we will have these sensor and control (modulation) systems in many parts of our bodies keeping track of pressures, temperatures, concentrations, and rates of change of a whole host of biological processes.

I can't imagine how complex such a system like this would be and how they actually came up with it.

The whole serotonin/ neurotransmitter nervous system is increadibly complex to say the least, and the fact that they can create drugs/treatments to target these area's is a statement regarding the high intellect of some of these men and women who create them.
