    Domo Arigato

  • Great stuff.

  • thanks very much, really useful for me as beginner

  • I like your practical approach. Sometimes it's not possible to directly translate things- the meaning won't be the same. These are practical lessons for daily use. Thanks for making these videos. Are you teaching English in Japan?

  • @alaivani

Yes, I am. Check out my other channel: gimmeaflakeman.

  • thanks so much, it is useful!

  • Thank you for teaching me お疲れ様出した in English. If my boss comes back from a long meeting and I want to say お疲れ様出した to him, what should I say in English ? Is it different from "good job today" or "good work today" ? Thaks a lot!

  • 「お疲れ様出した」って英語でどう言うんですか?教えてくれると嬉しいです。

  • @VELXXXXXXX

HOw do you grow up from being a geek? Bill Gates still looks like a geek but he could probably buy your neighborhood and bury it in his backyard.

  • @ActionTeacher

  • nice victor, very good video

  • Is there a significant difference between "Genki wo dase yo" and "genki dashite yo"?

  • "dase" is more of an ORDER form. Like DO IT!

"dashite" also is an order form...but softer. Hope that makes sense.

  • Makes perfect sense. Thank you. :)

  • Sensei, can you explain the partical sa? I heard it alot when I was in tokyo.

  • Very very useful. Thank you for makin a vid. on this:) You're the best Victor!

  • This is good. These phrases are helpful and you don't find them in most phrasebooks. Thanks!

  • Thanks alot :)

I'll be learning one expression per day.

Kudos on your great teaching skills, I think you're very good at conveying the feeling and context of these expressions in a natural way and it helps alot!

  • thank you for subscribing! if you hadnt i might not have ever found this channel! i am glad i did/you helped me! languages are fun!

  • No worries, mate!

  • As always a wonderful lesson!

    Arigatou Victor!

  • De nada! Uh, I mean "dou itashimashite"

  • a bit simple for me, but there were a few words I heard for the first time; I'll add them to my anki deck. And this is a useful reminder vid

  • Urg. I'll make some more...

  • why do they all end with "yo"?

  • Emphasis.

  • What do you recommend doing to remember/learn these? I'm very bad at remembering the connection and how to pronounce things. :(

  • Personally, if you want to pick up stuff randomly -- which is fun and natural -- grab a notebook and label RANDOM JAPANESE! and collect expressions you find all over. ALSO, why not try posting messages on YouTube! Don't worry if others do not understand. It is just for practice.

  • Thanks so much. I will try it! I will also trying using it daily and maybe I'll get the hang of it. Thanks so much. Great videos. Keep up the great work! :)

  • wow, so much information...

  • so useful. could shouganai yo = shit happens?

  • Yeah.. in certain situations.

  • Don't get too stressed out during your busy June :) Thanks for another great lesson; I look forward to your next ones. Take care!

  • Thanks!
