Een jaar geleden gaf ik hier een reactie op met: '' dit moet een Nederlander niet zingen '', maar ik zie het nu toch anders!

Het klinkt weldegelijk mooi, en het is behoorlijk knap om als Nederlander zo'n nummer te zingen. Zelf zing ik ook, maar dit nummer? Ik probeer het iedere keer weer, maar het lukt me toch echt niet!

zo leuk dit! hier heb ik de dvd van..

en simon keizer als achtergrond zanger.. hihi wel leuk samen met een van zn beste vrienden maar nu is siem een supper goed duo sinds 2006 met een van zn andere beste vrienden namelijk nick schilder natuurlijk wel erg leuk dit zo te zien toen was er nog helemaal geen spraake van nick&simon... lijkt me voor siem zelf ook grappig om dit zo terug te zien dat ie daar achtegrond zanger is bij vriend jan smit.. :D grtz jan smit & nick&simon fan!

I'm half Irish and I think that Jan Smit has sings this song exactly as it should be sung. With energy and feeling. So I can't agree with BigMary77's comment.

I've got recordings of Jan Smit as a boy and adult singing in English and Dutch.

He sings really well in any language. Incidently if anyone is interested he first recorded this song on an earlier CD of his as boy. Check out his other songs on youtube sung in English such as Leaving On A Jet Plane.

Sorry, but I really don't think this song is suitable for this artist. I believe he normally sings in Dutch. Might be best for him to stick to what he does best - sing in his own language.

mmaurer1994: zoek op elke engelstalige website naar dit nummer en ju kunt het vast wel vinden....het is zo een oud nummer en zo vaak gedaan door zoveel verschillende artiesten...Een van de meest populaire nummers over belfast.

Trouwens wel jammer dat het ierse dansen van die meiden niet echt overeenkomt met echt iers dansen
